This might be another reason for Meghan Markle to continue to feel like an outcast in the royal family.
It has been revealed that Queen Elizabeth II happily shared a one-of-a-kind and very precious piece of jewelry that was given to her by her parents.
Ahead of the Royal Tour of Canada in 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, (The Queen Mother), purchased the stunning diamond Asprey Maple Leaf Brooch.
The brooch is made with diamonds that are perfectly set in platinum shaped into a sugar maple tree leaf. Note that Queen Elizabeth has traveled to Canada for a total of 24 times.
The Queen’s precious creation has been worn on several occasions, but it is rarely loaned to other members of the royal family.
The shinny heirloom has been handed to Kate Middleton and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall (2017). In 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge was “gifted” the piece as she and Prince William toured the country.
Whereas Prince Harry‘s wife, who has a special bond with Canada, never received that honor. Meghan has lived in Canada for six years while filming Suits.
Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, moved to Canada after they stepped down from their royal duties. The former actress did not make an official visit to the country when she was a working royal.
Meghan and Harry celebrated their first Christmas with their baby boy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in British Columbia.
When Harry and his wife briefly returned to England, they took the opportunity to visit Canada House in London to thank the High Commissioner for their stay.
Sitting with Janice Charette, the Canadian High Commissioner to the UK, Harry said: “What a beautiful place you live in. That was exactly why we chose Canada. My wife will now finish in French.”
Meghan added: “It was just such an incredible time (we were) grateful to have there and with our son too.”
Charette had this to say about the duo: “The fact that they were able to go to Canada to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family and basically to have privacy and be undisturbed and to be able to enjoy peace and tranquillity and the beautiful country, I couldn’t be happier.”
It has been confirmed that The Duchess, now happily and comfortably living in California, with Harry; will therefore not get the opportunity to wear the brooch.
Some of her fans say this is an example of how she was treated unfairly.
