Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Shamed For The Picture They Used To Announce Royal Baby Number 2

Meghan Markle Prince Harry New Baby

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed on Valentine’s Day that they are expecting another baby, as they shared a beautiful image to commemorate the news — precisely 37 years after the late Princess Diana announced she was expecting Harry.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said on Sunday, February 14, that the couple was expecting their second child.

A statement said that the couple’s 1-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was to become a “big brother.”

The Sussexes are currently living in Montecito, California, after stepping down from their royal family duties last year and buying a property in the USA in June amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The photograph, which accompanied the announcement, is thought to have been taken in the garden of the couple’s home and was snapped by photographer Misan Harriman, 55, a friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The image, which is shot in black and white, shows Meghan wearing a Carolina Herrera dress and lying on the grass, resting her head on Harry’s lap among lush greenery and trees.

It comes exactly 37 years since the late Diana, Princess of Wales, announced she was expecting her second child in 1984 — and gave birth to Prince Harry the same year.

The picture of the pregnancy went viral, and many slammed Prince Harry for not wearing any shoes. An angry royal fan stated: “Deliberate move. Big F U to any sense of Royal decorum.”

This social media user explained: “Why did Harry have to show up his ugly foot?his foot is freaking me out. ?”

The power couple was slammed for this other reason: “Why share the news of a pregnancy with the whole entire world when you have desperately kept your firstborn hidden worst than any known famous person in history? Just why? Why bother when we all clearly know that child will be another hidden object? Why? This couple is so dysfunctional.”

Following the announcement from the Sussexes this weekend, Buckingham Palace responded with a statement which said that the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and the rest of the royal family were “delighted” by the news.

The palace received advance notice of the announcement, although it is not known how much notice was given.

Speaking about the image, photographer Misan Harriman said the large tree behind them represented the tree of life, and the garden more generally represented fertility. He referred to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as “absolute soulmates.”

Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike Tindall, are also expecting to welcome another baby this year.
