According to royal author Kate Nicholl, Catherine Middleton is sympathetic to her husband, Prince William‘s “anger” and has been supporting him during what has been described as a “difficult time” for the family.
Kate Nicholl said that Kate Middleton has found a new source of joy in the middle of the madness.
The bombshell interview conducted by Oprah Winfrey with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent shock waves through the royal family back home in Britain after it was aired in the US and the UK earlier this month.
Among the claims made in the interview by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were that Buckingham Palace had failed to provide help to Meghan Markle when she was struggling with her mental health and feeling suicidal while pregnant with Archie.
She also claimed that a member of the royal family had made racist comments about Archie’s skin when speaking with Prince Harry before their son was born.
Prince William, who is second in line to the throne, is reported to be “angry and upset” following the interview.
According to Kate Nicholl, his wife, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, supports him and “sympathizes” with his feelings of upset.
The Duchess of Cambridge is also reported to be supporting him even more following phone conversations he had with his brother, Prince Harry — who is currently living in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and 1-year-old son Archie — which TV presenter Gayle King, 66, said last week were “unproductive.”
Kate Nicholl has said that Kate Middleton’s loyalties are with her husband, despite the friendship she had with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, prior to the Sussexes stepping down as senior working members of the royal family early last year.
Kate Nicholl told OK! Magazine: “Kate has been there for William recently, especially after his conversations with Harry didn’t go too well. Kate has always remained loyal to William despite how close she was to Harry. Her loyalties are with her husband and their family. Even though she’d love peace and harmony, she sympathizes with William’s upset and anger.”
The royal expert went to add that Catherine Middleton has found a wonderful distraction in the midst of the royal family drama — the birth of her first niece.
Pippa Middleton has recently given birth to a daughter named Grace, who is a great source of joy to the entire family.
The royal expert shared: “Pippa’s baby joy has been a welcome distraction for Kate after a difficult few weeks. It’s really put a smile back on her face.”
The Cambridges visited a school last week to promote mental health awareness among young children, during which Prince William responded to a journalist who asked whether the royal family was racist, saying “we are very much not a racist family.”
