Meghan Markle has announced that she will be publishing her first book and has released the cover, and it has caused an uproar because of one detail. Royal backers are now insisting that Queen Elizabeth II take action against Prince Harry‘s wife.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, penned a children’s book entitled The Bench, which was inspired by a poem that she wrote for Prince Harry after giving birth to their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The book focuses on the beautiful bond that exists between fathers and sons. The stories are told using a mother’s point of view.
In a press release, issued by Random House Children’s Books, Meghan Markle explained: “The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born. That poem became this story.”
She added: “My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
The book’s synopsis was accompanied by the cover and a few pages that contained Markle’s words and illustrations by Christian Robinson.
Fans were quick to notice that the former actress decided to use her title, the Duchess of Sussex, instead of her birth name on the cover of her first children’s book.
Many royal fans have asked Queen Elizabeth to either remove Meghan Markle’s title or prevent her from using it for lucrative purposes.
A social media user had this to say about Meghan Markle’s decision to have her title: “Plus she uses her Title Duchess as the author. Firstly, I thought she didn’t care for titles. Secondly, it’s against royal rules to promote or sell anything using their titles! How Trashy!”
Another backer of the royal family shared: “She’ll still get away with a LOT more. Their titles won’t be taken away and we’re still peasants slumming it through a pandemic. Elites gonna elite soooooo yeah. ?”
This person chimed in with the following suggestion: “And there she goes again using her title she could have used Mountbatten Windsor that last name is still very well known no she has to use touches because that’s her only relevancy to royalty in her eyes ?.”
An angry supporter of Queen Elizabeth said via Instagram: “She’s going to milk this title for all it’s worth. She knows that her shelf life & interest is limited.”
A fifth remark read: “I’m Quite Disgusted with the RF allowing this to continue ?.”
Meghan Markle’s book will be published on June 8, just days before she gives birth to her second child, a baby girl.
