Thomas Markle has made it hard for Meghan Markle to get a good night’s rest after he announced to the world that he plans to drop more embarrassing secrets about her.
Days after Prince Harry and the former actress welcomed their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, into the world, Thomas Markle appeared in an explosive interview where he said he wants to meet his granddaughter.
However, just like Prince Harry tore his family into shreds, Thomas Markle is set to drop a few truth bombs of his own.
The 76-year-old threatened Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, by saying that he has some dirty laundry that he will air out.
He revealed that he last spoke to his estranged daughter before her big royal wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
She cut all ties with her father after he sold a series of photos to the paparazzi. Thomas called it “one dumb mistake” and added: “I haven’t spoken to her [Meghan] since two days before they got married.”
Talking about his granddaughter, Lili Diana, he said: “No phone calls, I just heard it on the radio. I’ll be very disappointed that I don’t get to hold my granddaughter.”
He went on to rattle his daughter’s world by revealing: “You want dirty laundry? This is the first time I’ve ever discussed these things.”
A relative of Meghan Markle has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex will never speak to her family again.
The anonymous insider was interviewed on Fox News this week. They criticized Meghan Markle for acting this way with her family, saying they were “clearly in different social classes and won’t ever talk again.”
The person said that “you shouldn’t have to be someone you’re not” or be a part of a certain social class to be “accepted and loved.”
It is Meghan Markle’s choice not to speak with her family, the insider claimed, and said the Markle family would not be chasing someone who “doesn’t want to talk to them.”
The interview came days after the Duchess of Sussex gave birth to Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor last Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, California.
And while the anonymous relative offered their congratulations, they had no hope that it would provide a springboard for any form of reconciliation between Meghan and the rest of the family.
After stepping down from their roles as senior working members of the royal family last year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved much closer to the duchess’ family as they ultimately settled down in Montecito, California, where Meghan hails from.
Her mother, Doria Ragland, is believed to be living with the Sussexes, helping to look after 2-year-old Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lili, who is barely a week old. However, Meghan’s close relationship with her mother seems to be the only one.
Her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister Samantha Markle have not kept quiet over recent months with their criticism of Meghan and Harry, appearing for TV interviews in the days after the Sussexes’ infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in March.
Thomas claimed that Prince Harry had “obviously not supported” Meghan when she was struggling, while Samantha hit out at her half-sister to say that depression was not an “excuse to treat people like dishrags.”
Some royal fans are hopeful that Prince Harry will not follow the same path with his family.
