According to her children and Georgia police, singer Kelly Price has been missing for several weeks. The R&B and gospel artist vanished after being released from the hospital following a lengthy battle with the coronavirus.
TMZ, which first broke the story, explained that Kelly Price was admitted to the hospital about a month ago. In her last video on social media, an emotional Kelly Price opened up about her struggles with COVID-19, and she confessed that she felt physically drained out.
She also revealed some of the symptoms that hit her the hardest and finished on a hopeful note by talking about God seeing her through this challenging ordeal.
In the video, Kelly Price explained: “I found out today I have COVID. I Am COVID Positive. I’m following Dr’s orders. I’m quarantined. Feeling really drained. Splitting headache but I’m not in the hospital. I’m grateful and expecting to have a quick recovery.”
Her children said that she was taken to the hospital after her health took a turn for the worse. Kelly Price was eventually moved to the ICU as her health continued to deteriorate.
Kelly Price has two children — Jeffrey Rolle Jr. and Jonia Rolle, 21 — who she shares with her ex-husband, Jeffrey Rolle.
The pair got a divorce in 2015 after 23 years of marriage. It is not known which of the two children reached out to the authorities and the media.
According to the media outlet, the children visited several times in the hospital as she battled the illness.
The family said they were alarmed when they received a call from the doctors caring for Kelly Price announcing that she had been discharged.
The artist’s relatives said that they were shocked by the news because Price had not yet made a full recovery.
The family stated that they have not been able to speak to Kelly Price in weeks, and her whereabouts are not known. Police performed a welfare check on the diva and spoke to the boyfriend living at the home.
The relatives also claimed the Price’s boyfriend, whose identity has not been revealed, keeps her away from them.
Late Friday, fans and relatives received some happy news after Price’s representative and attorney, Monica Ewing, revealed that she is staying at an undisclosed location while battling COVID.
Ewing declined to say if Price is still in a relationship with her boyfriend/fiancé and rumored husband. Ewing would not say why Price has not contacted her family.
Price will speak on the matter when she is well enough, the lawyer claims.
Kelly Price’s sister, Shanrae Cheree Price, is not happy nor reassured by what the attorney said and called into the Larry Reid Show, where she asked for prayers.
She said that while Price’s attorney claimed she is safe, no one in her family had been able to see nor talk to her for the past months.
She revealed that she will not believe the attorney until she physically sees her sister.
