Prince William Sets Himself Up To Look Bad With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle After His Latest Official Announcement

Prince William Harry Kate Middleton Meghan Markle US Visit

Prince William has announced his plans to travel to the United States with his wife, Kate Middleton, in the fall of 2022.

The future king of England and his spouse will be in the U.S. for the second annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony.

According to a royal expert, Kate Middleton and her husband have put themselves in a complicated situation by venturing into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s territory.

Prince William sets himself up to fail with a big announcement

Another British invasion is set to take place next year; Prince William, most likely with his wife Kate Middleton by his side, will be in the U.S.

The Duke of Cambridge has announced that the U.S. has been selected to be the host country for next year’s Earthshot Prize award ceremony.

Prince William and his spouse will be in the same country as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by moving the event to America.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have resided in California since stepping down from their royal duties in early 2020.

The former American actress and Prince Harry, who had a complicated relationship with the royal family before exiting London, made matters even more complicated with their numerous controversial interviews and the announcement of a tell-all book due out in 2022.

While the brothers are said to be barely talking, it is believed that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William will be invited by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to a sit-down at a fancy hotel or at the California mansion.

Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti weighed in on the matter by saying that Prince William and his spouse have put themselves in an impossible situation with this potential reunion.

If they accept the Sussexes’ invitation, things can spiral out of control, and something might get leaked to the media, and if they decline it, they will look like the villains in the story.

It would appear indecent if Prince William turned down the opportunity to meet his baby niece, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

The royal expert revealed why the future king and queen of England would be in a nightmare scenario: “If they get invited, and they decline, it seems petty and nasty. And if they don’t get invited, it seems petty and nasty from the other side. And if they do accept such an invitation and something goes terribly wrong, that seems like a bad idea. I can’t quite see how this would work.”

At the inaugural Earthshot Prizes, Prince William made the following announcement: “I hope you agree that London and the U.K. has put on quite a show for our first year. So for the second year, we need to pass the baton to a country whose leadership is essential for all five of our Earthshots. Where better than the nation that inspired the moonshot all those years ago. I’m delighted to announce that the Earthshot Prize will be heading to the United States of America in 2022.”

The environmental initiative was founded by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Royal Foundation with the plan to award five more £1 million ($1.3 million) prizes each year until 2030.

Prince Harry and Prince William still not on good terms

The reunion between the foursome might be awkward for many reasons.

Royal author Robert Lacey revealed that the princes have yet to heal the rifts that exist between them.

Prince William recently hosted a party, and a guest told the author via Page Six: “I’ve spoken to two people from that party and it was quite clear from things he said that his anger towards Harry remains. He remains unhappy about what his brother has done. There is no immediate possibility of any reconciliation. I mean, it’s not wanted on either side. Too many bitter things have been said.”

The face-à-face between the independent royals and the Cambridges might be tense because of the rumors that Prince William vetoed Lilibet Diana’s christening at Windsor.
