Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, welcomed their second child into the world over the summer, but the couple has yet to share her first picture because they have concerns.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born June 4th in a California hospital. She is the only heir to the British throne, not born in England.
Prince Harry and the former actress have yet to share the baby’s first picture with the world. Many are baffled by the decision because the power couple followed royal traditions with their firstborn child.
Less than 48 hours after his birth, the first pictures of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor were unveiled to the public during a photocall at Windsor Castle.
Members of the royal family have been following the unwritten rule of debuting newborn babies days or hours after birth.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are British royals, in 2020, they have become independent by stepping down from their royal duties and are no longer bound by these rules.
Six months after baby Lilibet Diana was born, her first pictures are yet to be published. Royal fans and observers have been wondering why it is taking so long for the public to get its first look at their newborn daughter?
A royal expert has decided to explain why the parents are not eager to release the photo of Lilibet Diana — the pair fears it will be an invasion of their privacy.
According to Neil Sean, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very protective of their second child and therefore have concerns over the fact that it might impact their privacy.
He also revealed that the California residents have been talking to their advisers on how best to handle the matter and not look like hypocrites.
Sean said it is ridiculous that they are listening to a team of experts and added: “They feel and their advisers feel that if they do release a picture, they will be invading their own privacy, something they’ve rallied against. For me, I think this is ridiculous.”
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and the British soldier are big proponents of privacy who often criticize social media, so they are facing a conundrum with the release of the picture.
According to the expert, Prince Harry and his spouse are trying to decide when it is best to drop the photo in order to capitalize on the public’s interest.
He claimed: “If they were to put a picture on social media, a lot of people would be pleased to see the child, they’re all interested but as each month passes, interest diminishes.”
There is still hope that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might be sharing their latest bundle of joy with the rest of the world via their Christmas card.
He concluded by: “They’re now looking for an opportunity to introduce Lilibet Diana to the world. As we know, we haven’t seen a Christmas card, but perhaps they’re waiting for maximum impact.”
Some observers say that a big magazine cover story is still a possibility.
