Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally shared the first picture of their two young children, son Archie and baby daughter Lilibet Diana together.
Royal backers and experts were anxiously waiting for the proud parents to give them a glimpse of the latest addition to their family — Lilibet Diana.
On Thursday, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and the aspiring politician unveiled their 2021 Christmas card where Lilibet and brother Archie were the main stars.
In the new image, Markle, Prince Harry, and their son wore matching denim. Archie’s fiery red hair, like Prince Harry, captivated millions.
As for Lilibet, she wore a pretty white dress and giggled as her mother lifted her up in the air. The power couple used the photo to wish their followers a happy holiday and a prosperous New Year.
Prince Harry and the former American actress left London in early 2020 and emigrated to California. The power couple was thrilled to welcome another child into the world.
In June, Meghan Markle gave birth to her second — a baby girl who is named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Since the announcement of the child’s arrival, millions of people were eagerly waiting for the proud parents to give a glimpse of baby Lili Diana.
Many were hoping that the British Prince and Markle to continue with royal traditions of releasing photos of newborn babies to the public.
However, when the couple became independent by relocating to California, all royal traditions were thrown out of the window.
Meghan Markle and her husband were not in a rush to release the photo of Lilibet Diana to the world because they have a strict privacy plan in place.
The plan is to protect their young children so they can have “normal” childhoods and private lives.
The pair cited lack of privacy as the key reason for stepping away from royal duties.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, despite being in the public eyes, doing interviews, and being on the cover of prestigious magazines, also appear to have a real and almost impossible commitment to providing their children with the option of having public lives or remaining private citizens.
An expert claimed that it took the couple over six months to share the first picture of the baby girl because Prince Harry and his spouse are free and no longer feel the need and pressure to abide by royal protocols.
Their Christmas card showed that they were celebrating their newfound freedom.
Royal and body language expert Judi James explained: “[It shows] them styled in the same, emphatically casual way that they were when they first presented to the world as a couple at the Invictus games – when Meghan famously wore the ripped denim jeans that the couple and their son are wearing here.”
The expert added: “It makes the pose look like a celebration of freedom as much as the couple’s joy as a family of four.”
It was expected in some fashion, but the family has still managed to create a lot of headlines.
