There have been many royal babies born in the British Monarchy in the past few years, but none of them sparked interest and fascination like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s first child.
New research showed that Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor made history by causing more online interest than any other royal baby in the past eight years.
With plenty of pomp in October 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle delighted royal fans all over the world with their first pregnancy announcement.
Buckingham Palace issued a lengthy statement that revealed that the couple was expecting their first child together.
The statement explained that the entire royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, were delighted by the baby news.
The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in spring 2019. Their Royal Highnesses very much appreciate all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share their happy news. The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted for the couple. Ms. Doria Ragland is very happy about the lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
Archie was born on May 6th, 2019, and two days after his birth, he was introduced to the world during a private photocall at Windsor Castle.

The childcare experts revealed the results of research that was recently conducted using data from Google.
It revealed that there was a massive spike in interest in the birth of baby Archie Harrison.
According to the findings, searches for “royal baby” skyrocketing 2700% around the time of Archie’s birth.
There was also a real frenzy around the arrivals of Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s three children.
According to the findings, Princess Charlotte had the second most influential royal birth.
Prince William’s only daughter caused searches for “royal baby” to explode 1000% at the time of her birth.
Prince Louis, Prince George, and Lilibet Diana have honorable mentions.
A spokesperson for Little Ones London explained why Archie Harrison earned the title of the most talked-about royal birth in England by saying: “The fact that the birth of Archie Harrison, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, caused more online buzz than the birth of any other Royal child reveals the constant fascination that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle elicit; in every realm of life.”
Archie’s ethnicity played a big part in the skyrocketing search.
The spokesperson also claimed that Prince Harry’s son is set to have an immense influence in the world and added: “As the first mixed-race royal baby, the birth of Archie Harrison made absolute waves across the world, and the fact that his arrival alone caused such an explosion of online interest suggests that he could have immense influence in the future, should he choose.”
The representative concluded by: “However, with the healthy attitude that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have towards their children’s right to privacy, it is likely that he will grow up well-shielded from the glare of public interest.”
