Queen Elizabeth Might Offend Prince Harry By Righting A Wrong She Did To Camilla Parker Bowles

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Queen Elizabeth Camilla Parker Bowles Patronage

Camilla Parker Bowles is getting what she has always wanted after it was given to Meghan Markle, and it was taken away from her due to her decision to step down from her royal duties in 2020 with Prince Harry.

For the longest time, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had her mind set on a patronage that is dear to her heart.

Prince Charles‘s wife has been eyeing the patron of the National Theatre role for decades because she has a passion for the industry.

Queen Elizabeth II overlooked Camilla Parker Bowles despite her many years as part of the royal family. The role was given to Meghan Markle instead when she married Prince Harry.

In 2019, the former American actress received the gift from Queen Elizabeth, who held the gig for more than 45 years.

After Markle was stripped from the patronage, it was returned to her Majesty, who has decided to finally award it to Camilla Parker Bowles.

During Queen Elizabeth’s massive celebration for her Platinum Jubilee, Bowles will become the royal patron of the National Theatre.

A source close to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, told the Sunday Times that she was unhappy that the position was handed to Meghan Markle and added: “She was pretty miffed when it went to Meghan and will be all the more delighted to take it on now, after being disappointed not to get it first time around.”

Meghan Markle took part in one public engagement at the National Theatre while she held the position of patron.

The Sun points out that the Queen‘s decision to make Duchess of Cornwall‘s long life dream come true might further create friction with Prince Harry and his wife.

It was previously reported that Prince Charles is worried about the revelations that Prince Harry will make in his upcoming memoir that might further damage Camilla Parker Bowles’s reputation.

A royal source said: “Forget the Prince Andrew saga, the main topic of discussion at Clarence House is Harry’s book — and the reputational damage it could very well do. There are concerns about Harry’s recollections of Camilla’s entry into the Royal Family, and how her long-running romance with Charles damaged him from a young age. Harry is fiercely loyal and protective of his late mother and her legacy, and didn’t approve of Camilla sweeping in as the great love of his father’s life.”

The person added: “Understandably he found those early years incredibly difficult, and he might publicly blame Camilla for much of what he believes went wrong in his childhood and the trauma the whole situation caused.”

The insider concluded with: “Charles is deeply protective of Camilla. The last thing he needs — especially in a year of celebration that should be all about the Queen — is an excoriating takedown of Camilla at a time when people have finally taken her to their hearts.”

Many have predicted that Prince Harry’s tell-all book will contain similar revelations to the ones he made during his sit-downs with Oprah Winfrey.

Prince Harry said he suffered through “genetic pain” because of his parent’s divorce and his mother’s death.

He also went after his father for “literally” cutting him off “financially” in 2020.
