However, her ex-boyfriend and collaborator, Drake, decided to choose another path to let the world know how he feels about the surprising announcement.
The diva posed for a series of stunning pictures where she bared her bourgeoning baby bump underneath a bright pink coat that she left open.
Rihanna took stylish pictures during a stroll in New York’s freezing weather with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.
The makeup maven also dropped a mirror selfie on her official Instagram page, where she lifted up her jersey to give a better look at her belly.
In the viral Instagram post, Rihanna also included a few snaps with A$AP Rocky, who is lovingly touching her tummy.
Rihanna had this sweet caption for the carousel of photos: “How the gang pulled up to black history month.”
Moments after the pregnancy reveal, according to multiple sites, Drake quietly unfollowed both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.
He also posted a few odd pictures with the following cryptic messages that read: “She said she’s been there before… but you never been with me, so you never been.”
Rihanna and Drake, who have been friends for over a decade, were romantically involved in 2016 and broke up in October 2016.
Rihanna has other plans for the near future — she is reportedly planning to marry boyfriend A$AP Rocky in Barbados after the birth of their first child.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Rihanna is totally smitten with A$AP. They have a very close bond, and Rihanna has always been quite traditional. They will be married, for sure. She has told pals she wants to be with him for ever, and he has said the same.”
The person in the know went on to say: “There are no plans yet for when the wedding will be, but it won’t be before the baby is born. She has always wanted to get married, and A$AP is her forever person.”
The individual with ties to Rihanna and the rapper added the couple has decided to have a lavish wedding in Barbados because they both have family there, and the country “holds a very special place in their hearts.”
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have been close friends for over ten years and have collaborated on the song “Cockiness.”
Their friendship blossomed into romance in early 2020.
