Prince Harry is gearing up for a big year, and he has all of the world’s attention whether he likes it or not.
The Duke of Sussex is set to make some significant moves both in his personal and professional life, and many royal watchers claim that they will serve as a statement to the man he truly is.
The British prince is currently in the process of writing one of the most highly anticipated books of the year.
Prince Harry will publish his yet-to-be-titled memoir around Christmas time, where he will share some of the most intimate stories of his life.
He will continue to make headlines with his high-profile lawsuit against Queen Elizabeth II‘s government over their refusal to let him pay for adequate security when he travels to the UK with his family.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has all eyes on him as Queen Elizabeth prepares for the celebration of a lifetime. In June, Her Majesty, 95, will mark her Platinum Jubilee or 70 years on the throne.
In the spring, Queen Elizabeth will take part in a somber event, with the royal family by her side as she holds a Service of Thanksgiving for the life of her late husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, at Westminster Abbey.
Royal watchers ask if Prince Harry, with or without Meghan Markle, will fly to London to be present for his grandmother.
Tom Bower, who is currently writing a book about Meghan Markle, told Closer that Prince Harry might not be aware of it yet, but he is about to make a statement with his decision to travel or not to the UK.
The royal biographer stated: “The next few months will be the ultimate test for Harry, the ultimate dilemma. He insists he adores his grandmother, so will he come back to support her at Prince Philip’s memorial service, and will he come back to support her and celebrate her reign in the Platinum Jubilee? If he doesn’t come back, it’s a clear statement of where lies his loyalty and his own interest.”
He also emphasized that if Prince Harry does not bring his baby daughter, Lilibet Diana, to meet Queen Elizabeth, he will regret that decision for the rest of his life.
The royal pundit went on to say: “And if they don’t come back soon, and Lilibet doesn’t meet the Queen, and Harry doesn’t celebrate her life and reign with her, it could be something he comes to regret forever.”
Bower concluded by saying that he doubts that Prince Harry or Meghan Markle will make it to London this year because they fear the backlash and repercussions that they will be hit with for the tell-all book.
He explained: “I personally think he won’t come back this year. I think the notion that he’s worried about his own security and needs the Met Police is an excuse. And I think Harry won’t come back because he knows he cannot face his family and be pleasant with them, knowing what he’s written about them in that book.”
He also stated: “That book will have a lot of casualties and cause a lot of hurt. It will really deliver, as Harry knows it has to, to justify the money he’s been paid to do it. The worst of what he will say is yet to come.”
Prince Harry will have some choices to make.
