Recently, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, showed up looking glamorous and powerful at their first big award ceremony.
At the event, Prince Harry swooned over Markle and revealed to the world an incredible secret about their high-profile and captivating romance.
The husband and wife were present to accept the President’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards.
Markle and the former soldier were recognized as special for their “achievement and distinguished public service,” via their Archewell Foundation.
The duo launched the foundation after stepping down from their royal duties and moving to California in 2020.
The pair arrived in style looking like royalty with Markle wearing a gorgeous blue one-shoulder dress, and the British prince opted for an elegant black suit.
The couple stood side by side as they delivered an acceptance speech where they mainly focused on the many issues plaguing the planet.
However, the Duke of Sussex took a few seconds to talk about his romance with Markle.
Prince Harry said this is the reason their romance exists: “Our lives were brought together for a reason.”
He continued: “I think it’s safe to say that I come from a very different background from my incredible wife, yet our lives were brought together for a reason. We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice, and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to.”
Meghan then said, “And I couldn’t be prouder that we’re doing this work together. We moved to California, my home state, shortly before the murder of George Floyd. For Black America, those nine minutes and 29 seconds transcended time, invoking centuries of our unhealed wounds. In the months that followed, as my husband and I spoke with the civil rights community, we committed ourselves and our organization, Archewell, to illuminating those who are advancing racial justice and progress.”
Prince Harry’s heart-melting declaration at the NAACP Image Awards pushed a royal expert to say that he is madly in love with the retired actress and is willing to continue to break the rules for her.
Tom Quinn said on the To Di For Daily podcast, via the Daily Express: “I think he’s just madly in love with Meghan and wants to make her happy.”
He went on to reveal that he believes that Prince Harry and Markle might shake things again when Queen Elizabeth II is no longer the head of state by returning to London as part-time royals.
He stated: “When Charles is king, they may be able to come back and be the part-time royals that they really wanted to be. I think Meghan and Harry are hoping that Charles, Harry’s father, after all, will be more of a modernizer and will say to them, ‘Okay, if you want to be part-time royals, that’s fine.'”
The power couple has major goals for their brand.
