Maybe it was the Will Smith debacle that inspired him, but Kanye West has revealed to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, that he is making some huge decisions with his life.
Reliable sources have spoken to Page Six and claimed that the controversial rapper has recently reached out to Kardashian and shared an unexpected and positive development.
West has decided to officially close down shop when it comes to his social media pages and public rants about Kardashian, her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, and his past life as a married man.
West reportedly told Kardashian that he plans to go away and seek the proper help that he needs to deal with his many mental issues.
A source close to the Kardashians explained that West has taken the life-changing decision for the sake of his four children, daughters North, 8, Chicago, four and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2.
West also made the promise or commitment to Kardashian not to make any public appearances in the near future, all in an effort to work on his problems and be the best father that he can be to his children.
The family friend confessed to the media outlet: “For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.”
According to the insider, West did not specify where he sought the treatment that he needed. It is not known how long he will be away.
A rep for West reached out to the publication and confirmed that he is taking measures to be mentally and physically in top health for his children.
The representative said: “At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is focused on raising their beautiful children.”
The news of Kanye West’s decision to focus on his well-being comes after a few tumultuous weeks where he ended the high-profile romance with Julia Fox and started dating.
West also grabbed headlines for a series of posts on his official Instagram page where he harassed and ridiculed Kardashian and Davidson.
West questioned Kardashian’s parenting skills and claimed she was a godless white-privileged woman who denied him access to their children.
West threatened physical violence against the Saturday Night Live star and left many speechless with an animated music video.
In the clip, West kidnapped Davidson and buried him alive, all while singing about his life.
