It has been a complicated few days for Rihanna, who is pregnant with her first child.
The billionaire singer and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, were hit with unfounded rumors that he cheated on her with Fenty shoe designer Amina Muaddi.
Rihanna, who is about to give birth any day now, has decided to travel to her native country of Barbados with her baby daddy and several members of his family.
In several videos and photos that have surfaced online, Rihanna, looking stylish as ever, was seen arriving at the airport with her large entourage.
The makeup mogul and fashion designer wore a vintage Gaultier skirt that she transformed into a dress and high-heeled shoes.
The videos and photos confirmed that Rihanna and her boyfriend are going stronger than ever.
Many believe that Rihanna has decided to give birth in Barbados, or she is there for her party/baby shower.
She was born on the Caribbean island and’s father is Bajan.
Also, in her most recent interview with Vogue, Rihanna revealed that she would love to raise her family on the island.
She confessed: “Rocky asked me recently if I had a dream place, where would it be? I told him home, Barbados. I always imagined it being that way. But realistically, it probably won’t be.”
She opened up about the baby party/shower by explaining what it would look like: “No brunch, no blush tones. And no animal-shaped nothing. I mean, it’s lit for a lot of people – I’ve even planned a couple of baby showers like that myself – it’s just not right for me. Personally, I want a party. I want everyone to be plastered and crawling out. And it’s got to be co-ed! Don’t put me on no wicker chair somewhere with gifts at my feet where everyone is staring at me.”
Earlier this week, the Internet erupted after a fashion blogger started the rumors that Rihanna and the rapper had gone their separate ways due to his infidelities.
Fashion influencer Louis Pisano wrote: “Rihanna & ASAP Rocky have split. Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi. ASAP & Amina is not new, though, as she saw him years ago and collaborated with him on a collection of shoes.”
Amina Muaddi, a long-time collaborator of Rihanna and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, was forced to come out and say that the rumors were false.
She stated: “I’ve always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn’t deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile. I initially assumed that this fake gossip — fabricated with such malicious intent — would not be taken seriously.”
She added: “However, in the last 24 hr, I’ve been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off-limits.”
Pisano has since apologized and explained that he will be taking some time away from social media to reflect on his actions.
He said in a tweet: “Last night, I made a dumb decision to tweet some information I had received. I’m not going to talk about sources, blame others for a discussion that was started, etc., because at the end of the day, I made the decision to draft that tweet, press send and put that out with my name on it.”
He concluded by: “I’d like to apologize to all parties involved with my actions and my reckless tweets. I have no excuse for it, I’ve been way too wrapped up in Twitter drama and unfortunately leaned into being messy as a brand which is something going forward I am going to move away from.”
Rihanna is expected to give birth in May.
