Queen Elizabeth II recently agreed to a secret meeting with her grandson, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle.
The power couple and the aging Monarch met privately at Windsor castle.
It has been revealed that the trio had tea and touched on multiple topics that concerned Markle, Prince Harry, and the royal family.
Prince Harry did an interview not long after getting an audience with his grandmother, where he shared little about what was said.
Prince Harry spoke about the need to protect his grandmother and said they shared secrets during their 30-minute meeting.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have since returned to their California mansion, where they are caring for their young children and figuring out their next business move after one of their projects was canceled by Netflix.
While the Sussex couple has been quiet, their close friend and author, Omid Scobie, has decided to spill the tea about the reunion with Queen Elizabeth.
In a new interview, the royal expert made the jaw-dropping claim that the self-exiled power couple decided to keep “their Windsor meeting with the Queen secret from her staff because her grandson has every reason to question if they all have her best interests at heart.”
Scobie claimed that Prince Harry was right to raise questions about the Queen’s protection.
He stated: “The reality is, since the passing of Prince Philip one year ago, the Queen is living by herself. While Prince Charles, the Cambridges, and others stop by for visits, the people surrounding the Monarch on a daily basis—aides, courtiers, and household staff responsible for every aspect of her life—are all employees of the royal institution.”
He accused some members of the large staff that Her Majesty has around her of causing pain to Prince Harry when he lived in the Palace alone and later with Meghan Markle.
He laid bare the following argument: “And it’s at the hands of some of these same people that Harry experienced some of his darkest and most distressing moments as a working member of the Firm.”
Several royal insiders have revealed that Prince Harry has clashed with the senior courtiers who advise the Queen.
Markle more or less sang the same tune during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, explaining that The Firm did not welcome nor help her.
The royal journalist added: “I remember how my jaw dropped when a friend of the couple gave me a play-by-play account of how the Queen’s private secretary, Edward Young, went out of his way to prevent the couple from visiting the monarch in Sandringham.”
According to the Daily Mail, royal aides slammed the Duke of Sussex and said that he displayed “breathtaking arrogance” by making these claims.
