It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their children — Archie, 3, and Lillibet Diana, 11 months landed in London a few days ago.
The family traveled from California to England to help Queen Elizabeth II celebrate her 70th year on the British throne.
The event dubbed Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum will include multiple celebrations all around the UK and the world.
The entire royal family, including Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middletown, will be representing Queen Elizabeth at various gatherings.
Despite polls showing that Meghan Markle’s popularity has dipped since stepping down from her royal duties, she still commands attention wherever she goes, especially when accompanied by Prince Harry.
As for Kate Middleton, she is the future Queen of England who has the eyes of the whole country on her whenever she makes a public appearance.
The royal wives are aware that the Platinum Jubilee is all about Queen Elizabeth, and they will take certain measures not to be a distraction so the spotlight can remain on Her Majesty.
Former royal correspondent for the BBC Jennie Bond believes Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton will make sure that their wardrobe choice does not remove the attention on The Queen.
The royal expert spoke to Express and revealed that Queen Elizabeth would step out with a fresh and modernized wardrobe that consisted of bright colors during the festivities.
The broadcaster added: “Angela Kelly has recently taken over the Queen’s wardrobe and has modernized it. She has a modernized royal look now.”
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will go for neutral colors that do not stand out.
The royal watcher stated: “Kate, Meghan, and the Queen won’t want to clash.”
She continued: “I have no doubt we will be watching the body language between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family over the weekend. I think Meghan and Harry will be a distraction from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, but I don’t think Prince Andrew will be as much of one.”
She said that she expects Queen Elizabeth will make an emotional appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the following reason: “Hopefully, the Queen will make two balcony appearances, and it will be a very heartwarming moment to see her. I think the Queen finds every Jubilee quite emotional. She is a very humble woman and does not expect huge crowds to greet her.”
The royal pundit went on to explain that she is delighted that Prince Harry has decided to bring his family to the UK for the sake of the aging Queen and added: “Harry and Meghan are coming, and [the Queen] has a special place in her heart for Harry. The Queen will also get to meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time on her birthday, and I hope the Queen gets to spend the day with her.”
So far, the festivities have been getting a lot of attention. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been on their best behavior.
