Queen Elizabeth’s Relationship With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Facing Major Test This Summer

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Queen Elizabeth Summer Test

Over two years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties — a lot has happened since then.

There have been bombshell interviews and shocking revelations, and the relationships between Prince Harry and multiple royals, including Prince William and Prince Charles, are hanging by a thread.

Friends of Prince William have revealed that the bond that once existed between them might have been broken permanently.

However, despite all the drama and scandals, Prince Harry has been able to preserve his relationship with Queen Elizabeth II.

A reliable source spoke to PEOPLE Magazine and explained that Her Majesty, 96, has been able to regularly see and talk to her grandson and his family via video calls.

Prince Harry’s pal stated that he and the Queen have lovely conversations about various topics, and they also keep up to date with what is going on with the family.

Markle and Prince Harry’s two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana, regularly interact with their great-grandmother, the Queen.

In early June, Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their young children traveled to London to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

The aging Sovereign met her namesake great-grandaughter in person for the first time and even attended her birthday party.

Talking to the publication, the friend of the former soldier said the following about the relationship between the Queen and her grandson: “If Harry asks, the Queen would say yes— as she adores him.”

After 70 years on the British throne, Queen Elizabeth is a master at juggling family life and her role as head of state.

A royal source told the outlet: “One thing about the Queen is she has to manage being a grandmother but also how it affects the wider institution.”

The relationship between Prince Harry, Markle, and the Queen will be tested in the upcoming months.

Is the bond so strong that the Monarch is willing to put her relationship with the Duke of Sussex and Markle on display as she did with Andrew by going to church with him?

The question is expected to be answered during Queen Elizabeth’s upcoming retreat to Scotland. Like every year, Her Majesty and the royal family hope to travel to Balmoral from August to October.

Although, this year, the Queen’s visit to Scotland will depend on her health.

If she does make a trip, the world will watch to see if she invites Prince Harry, Markle, and their children for the retreat.

Royal commentator Neil Sean recently revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly have their hope set on an invitation from Queen Elizabeth.

He said: “There could be good news on the horizon apparently because, as we know, our wonderful monarch likes to holiday up in one of her favorite homes, Balmoral, up in Scotland. You go over there, and you’re completely cut off from the world, and it makes you relax and think good thoughts.”

He added: “It’s the time of year when our monarch likes to invite members of her family to come and spend time with her, and they don’t all come at once. They all come when they’re invited at segregated times. Even though Harry and Meghan didn’t manage to get that endorsement that they could allegedly need in order to make sure that their brand stays on track across the United States of America, they’re hoping for a holiday invite.”

The upcoming weeks will reveal if the power couple got their way.
