For the first time, Travis Barker has decided to speak on why he was recently rushed to the hospital.
The statement released by Kourtney Kardashian‘s husband has fans saying the same thing — they see the possibility of a lawsuit because they believe the medical staff mishandled the procedure.
A fan made this observation: “Whoever removed that polyp is in trouble 🥴.” Another claimed: “All I heard was a lawsuit.” This third person stated: “He better sue them for malpractice 💯.”
Some say that Kris Jenner does not play when it comes to her family and her money, and she might take action.
The rocker, who is still receiving treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, explained that he was physically well on Monday when he went to the doctors for a routine endoscopy, (a medical procedure in which an instrument is introduced into the human body to give a view of the internal parts).
Via his Instagram Stories, he went on to say that he assumed that the visit went well, but later on, he fell ill and was hit with excruciating pain.
He was rapidly hospitalized, and doctors discovered that he was suffering from “life-threatening pancreatitis.”
From his hospital bed, Travis Barker explained: “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.”
The Blink-182 drummer went on to share more details about what went wrong during the common non-surgical procedure.
He said: “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.”
He reassured fans that he was slowly recuperating from the ordeal and thanked them for the support and prayers.
The artist concluded by: “I am so very, very grateful that with intensive treatment, I am currently much better.”
Travis Barker’s wife and reality star Kourtney Kardashian also penned a thank you note to those who stepped up with love and encouraging words during this difficult time for her family.
The TV veteran confessed that it was a frightening experience but is grateful that her husband is doing better.
She also took time out to show appreciation for the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for caring for her spouse.
Kardashian wrote: “Oh, what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything, and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together, and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”
The Poosh founder went on to say: “It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.”
Travis Barker was first taken to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center before it was deemed that his health issues were serious enough to be transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
