Meghan Markle’s Latest Raw And Honest Interview Has Prince William Concerned

Meghan Markle Prince William Harry Politics Royal Family

Meghan Markle might not have been able to shine as she wanted during Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee.

Still, since her return to the United States, she has been making up for the lost time, and some members of the royal family are apparently not happy about it.

It is being claimed that Prince William is not happy about Meghan Markle’s decision to overshadow some of his causes and charities with her political and controversial actions and interviews.

It seems that Prince William is concerned about how this will reflect on the royals.

The former American actress grabbed headlines last week after she appeared in Vogue Magazine with feminist icon and writer Gloria Steinem.

The pair took part in an interview where they spoke loudly and passionately about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The ruling implies that there is no longer a federal constitutional right to an abortion. Striking down the landmark decision led to heavy and fiery protests online and in the streets.

Markle made sure that her opinion was heard with a piece in Vogue.

According to royal expert Neil Sean, Prince William is weary that the Duchess of Sussex has once more broken the royal tradition of not meddling in politics.

The royal expert claimed that Prince Harry’s wife’s decision to discuss her views on controversial matters while using her royal title has made Prince William unhappy because it removes the focus on some issues he wants to push.

The expert said: “This has really become a big hot potato. It all really stems from the fact the one-time royal Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, recently gave an interview to Gloria Steinem for a glossy magazine. It’s all about the Roe v Wade debate. But, as ever, once an associated member of the British Monarchy comes forward and starts getting into that political arena, it can become damaging.”

He stated: “According to a very good source, and as ever we have to say allegedly, Prince William is unhappy once again at having to work through the mire of what these particular associations mean.”

Sean continued by revealing that Prince William is worried about the “link by association” for other royals who do not want to meddle in thorny topics that concern Americans.

He shared: “When you look forward to William and Catherine, they are very busy promoting their own charities, as are Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. So whenever you have a situation moving forward when an associated member of the Royal Family can grab the headlines, it’s not a case of jealousy.
It’s more a case of, really, ‘is it right? And it throws up the problem once again of the use of royal and associated titles.”

He added: “How can Prince William stop his causes from being overshadowed by someone who is simply not a working member of the monarchy but still using her titles? A source close to Prince William tells me this will be a radically different situation should and when he is in a position to do something about it.”

Speaking to Vogue, Markle revealed that she has teamed up with Steinem to get the Equal Rights Amendment ratified.

She also stated that she is planning to visit Washington to talk more about the consequences of aborting Roe v Wade.

Markle stated: “This is having a very real impact on women’s bodies and lives starting now. Women are already sharing stories of how their physical safety is being put in danger. Women with resources will travel to get an abortion. Those without might attempt to give themselves one at tremendous risk. Some will have to source abortion pills from unregulated pharmacies. Others who are pregnant and find themselves in a medical emergency will be at the mercy of doctors and lawyers to determine if a procedure that is needed to save her life can even be done at all.”

Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Markle have spoken about the US presidential election, pushed for paid leave, asked for laws to be passed to end injustices against black people, and lobbied for more women’s rights.
