It is believed that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, will travel to Boston, Massachusetts, in October for the second Earthshot Prize awards ceremony.
The trip is highly anticipated for many reasons — it has been many years since the future King and Queen of England have been on American soil.
It will be the first time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be in the US since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took part in “Megxit.”
Indeed, in the fall, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be in the same country as his brother, who resides in California with his wife and their two children.
Ahead of the trip, Prince William and his spouse have apparently made it known that they will have a very busy schedule where they will meet with the activists, environmentalists, and inventors who are eyeing the £ 1 million ($1.2 million) prize money.
Prince William is also expected to meet with journalists to sell his project and talk about climate change while providing environmental solutions.
However, there is one thing Prince William will not do — there will be no meetings with Prince Harry and Markle.
Royal expert Neil Sean via Express weighed in on the non-reunion by saying: “It would be an ideal situation to take the time out to meet. When you think about it, both in the same country and away from prying eyes because it’s a little bit easier to get away from the media over there because it’s such a vast place. You can arrange to meet anywhere, but sadly, that will not be possible.”
The royal pundit revealed that Prince William has not been able to forgive and forget his brother’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview and revelations that have tarnished the royal family.
He claimed: “They’re planning a packed schedule with no private time for visits. Very nice and regally put. This all centers upon the fact that William is finding it very hard to move on from all those allegations that Harry put out about him and his family via Oprah.”
Prince William is also not happy with Prince Harry’s decision to publish a tell-all book.
There is a huge possibility that Prince Harry’s book might come out around the same time that Prince William is in the United States – which implies that American journalists will not hesitate to ask him to comment on the truth bombs and accusations.
Duncan Larcombe, a royal author, explained to the Daily Beast: “How can the royals welcome Harry back into the fold when he has effectively turned himself into a journalist? As long as that book hangs over them like a sword of Damocles, how can they be expected to extend an olive branch?”
He went on to say: “Once the book is out, William will have to make a decision about what he is going to do about Harry, but he is not going to do a thing until he knows what is on every page of that book. The reality is that if, as a senior member of the royal family, you have written a tell-all book, you have broken rule No. 1 of the royal family.”
Observers say it is becoming difficult to see peace happening between the brothers anytime soon.
