There is a juicy story about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that has surfaced, explaining that Queen Elizabeth II played a direct role in one of the biggest snubs and humiliating moments that they went through during the Platinum Jubilee.
According to Tom Bower, a royal biographer who is set to release a new book this week, Prince Harry and Markle were late for Queen Elizabeth’s Thanksgiving Service that was held at St Paul’s Cathedral on June 3 on purpose.
The millions, who tuned in to watch the religious event, were surprised by several things.
The heirs to the throne, Prince William and Prince Charles, and their families were seated on opposite sides of the cathedral with the lesser royal family members, including Princess Eugenie and Beatrice and husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.
Prince Harry and Markle, who had to sit with the second-grade royals, were several minutes late and enjoyed a slow walk to their seats as the cameras rolled and dumbfounded attendees watched the glamorous couple.
Many experts and royal sources claimed that Markle and her husband knew that the unfavorable seating arrangement implied that they were no longer the “real stars of the show” and “as non-working royals, they are now very much in the second division.”
Bower recently did an interview to promote Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors and explained that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got a nasty telling from an usher as a direct message from Her Majesty.
He explained to GB News that the Queen, with the help of Prince William and Prince Charles, had “seen through” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they tried to make a “grand entrance.”
Mr. Bower claimed the California couple felt “slighted” by the royal family after being made to sit away from the aisle during the St Paul’s Cathedral Thanksgiving service on the second day of the celebrations.
Bower began by saying: “I mean, what was a really remarkable story that I heard was that Meghan and Harry were late to get to St Paul’s Cathedral [for the Platinum Jubilee service].”
He went on to share a conversation Markle and Prince Harry had with the usher as they walked down the aisle.
Prince Harry discovered that his grandmother knew what he was up to and was not on his side during the unexpected and somewhat tense exchange.
The biographer said: “They had done that deliberately so they could make their own grand entrance. As they are walking down the aisle, they get to their seats, nine and 10, and they say well, everyone should move up so they can be on the aisle itself. “‘No,’ says the usher to Prince Harry. ‘No. You’re to sit at nine and 10.’ ‘Who told you to tell me where to sit?’ [said Harry] ‘Your grandmother,’ says the usher. And then Prince Harry goes in the middle.”
The royal expert went on to reveal that Prince Harry and Markle were not allowed to be seen or photographed with the senior royals because the Queen and the heirs had curbed their master plans.
He stated: “And then they did in the end really control it. No photographs on the next day meeting for the Jubilee, meeting in Windsor Castle, and all the rest of it. The Queen sees through [Meghan and Harry]. And I think Charles and William have encouraged her to do so. I think, however, they hope for peace.”
Bower said he believed the couple felt “slighted” by the royal family, and he will take his sweet revenge via his tell-all book out later this year.
He concluded by: “But my feeling now is Harry is pondering whether he should take his revenge for having been slighted during the Jubilee and being given a reduced status. And, of course, his revenge would be in the book he is going to write. Meghan has partly had her revenge with the Oprah Winfrey interview, but I think the way they can monetize themselves is by more and more revenge against the family who, in the end, wish them so well and wanted them to be members of the family.”
Prince Harry’s book is creating a lot of anticipation.
