Prince William was happy to confirm that he and his wife, Kate Middleton, would be visiting the United States in the fall.
The future King and Queen of England have selected Boston, Massachusetts, for the second annual Earthshot Prize.
The trip will take place in December, and according to a royal expert, the pair deliberately picked the East coast, not for its snowy weather nor because it is a shorter flight from London.
They opted for Boston because they want to avoid having the slightest interaction with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
Many see it as a swipe or major snub towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who reside in the US. The Sussexes stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.
A group of royal experts recently sat down to talk about Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge‘s much-talked-about trip to the US.
Daily Mail‘s Diary Editor Richard Eden said there is no hope that the feuding brothers will meet during the holidays and added: “William and Harry were in the same cathedral – St Paul’s in London, and they were kept apart for the whole time. They didn’t meet up once while Harry and Meghan were in London.”
Eden continued: “So the idea that when he’s in the same vast country, they might pop over for tea, really is for the birds. It’s not going to happen.”
The Mail on Sunday‘s Charlotte Griffiths said it was a deliberate decision and snub on Cambridge’s behalf to pick a state that is on the opposite coast as California.
She said: “They have gone for the opposite coast. That is quite telling, isn’t it? Imagine if he had chosen California!”
During the conversation, Griffiths dismissed the chatter that there is a “competition between the brothers for attention over their causes.”
She said: “Americans go mad for royals, and these are two proper royals – including the future King. I think they are going to lap him up.”
Daily Mail‘s Royal Editor Rebecca English was quick to show the difference between how the brothers handle the business of charities.
English said: “With Harry’s UN speech, you heard a lot of doom and gloom. William is going down a different path, where he recognizes it is a time of crisis for the environment, but he is saying let’s focus on how to positively change that.”
She also made the surprising revelation that Prince William and Middleton have added “a few more engagements” to their schedule during their American trip.
