The deluge is coming, and many wonder if Queen Elizabeth II and the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, will be able to keep their famous calm composure and stay stoically silent.
The deluge will not be water but the numerous pages written by Prince Harry where he tells it all. After stepping down from his royal duties with his wife, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry moved to California.
Fairly quickly, he signed a massive $20 million deal for a memoir that will be out by Christmas this year.
For the impressive check, Markle’s husband is expected to dive deeply into his childhood and teen years and the man, husband, and father he has become.
The former soldier is expected to leave no stones unturned to land on the bestseller lists.
Many royal family members, Prince Charles, Prince William, and even Queen Elizabeth, are bracing for the harsh winter ahead because of the book and the ongoing rift between the royals and the Sussexes.
Royal biographer Tom Bower weighed in on the perfect storm brewing, and the royals are struggling to hold the lid on the drama.
The man behind the latest scandalous book about the royal family entitled Revenge explained that while Her Majesty and Prince Charles have done everything imaginable to stay quiet and contain the “poisonous” rift, it will not be possible to do the same when Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir is released.
Bower asked how long the Queen and Prince Charles would be able to stay quiet as the level of toxicity rises with the Sussex couple.
He stated: “I think it is really toxic. I think they do their best for the Windsors, Prince Charles, and the Queen to keep it cool, but it is impossible. Especially with Harry’s memoir about to come out. But ever since Meghan left Britain and then did the Oprah Winfrey, it has been really poisonous.”
While discreet, Queen Elizabeth has been blowing steam at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In his bombshell Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, Bower shared two stories that allegedly took place during Prince Philip‘s funeral and the Platinum Jubilee that showed Her Majesty’s frustration with her grandson and his wife.
Bower revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reminded who is the boss as they tried to get some of the limelight during the church service at the Jubilee.
Bower said to GB News that the Queen gave the couple seats that they were not happy with and made no efforts to change them.
He explained: “I mean, what was a really remarkable story I heard, was that Meghan and Harry were late to get to St Paul’s Cathedral deliberately so that they could make their own grand entrance. As they’re walking down the aisle and they get to their seats nine and ten, they say, ‘well, everyone should move up so that we can be on the aisle itself.'”
The usher responded: “‘No, you’re to sit [in] nine and ten.'” Prince Harry replied: “Who told you to tell me where to sit?” The usher flatly added: “Your grandmother.”
According to the author, Queen Elizabeth was relieved that Markle, who was pregnant at the time, did not attend Prince Philip’s April 2021 funeral, a month after the pair took part in the Oprah Winfrey interview.
The book revealed: “Philip had been her rock for the previous 70 years. To comply with COVID restrictions, she would grieve alone inside the chapel. Thank goodness Meghan is not coming,’ the monarch said in a clear voice to her trusted aides.”
Prince Harry is keeping many British royals up at night.
