Many of these people have been close to Prince Harry and Prince William since childhood. However, with Prince Harry’s unexpected decision to relocate to California, he has found himself seeing less and less of his once close entourage.
Prince Harry wants to keep the bond alive with his pals, but he has no permanent home in England. Additionally, Meghan Markle is determined not to step foot in England after revealing that the British media put her through hell and back.
Via Page Six, royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror that The Duke of Sussex “misses some aspects of his old life” in London.
The veteran royal reporter claimed: “Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the [United] States is new and exciting is coming to an end, and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”
Quinn said Prince Harry has no choice but to find a permanent residence in the UK because his army and college friends, who have been a significant part of his life, will not visit him in California due to their strained relationship with Meghan.
He stated: “Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”
The royal commentator went on to give a glimmer of hope by explaining that Markle might reconsider her stand if Prince Harry gets proper security and has a place to stay that is not linked to the Royal Family.
He concluded by: “Meghan has said she’s only prepared to return to England if she and Harry have a place of their own and the security they both feel is essential. Meghan will never return to the UK and stay with her husband’s relatives.”
Prince Harry has made multiple trips to London since he decided to step down from his royal duties with Markle.
However, Markle has categorically avoided British soil, even declining an invitation to King Charles III‘s coronation.
