Meghan Markle‘s memories with the Royal Family seem to dissipate with each passing day.
According to her own words, it was the worst period of her life, which is why she has taken a vow not to speak about the royals or the monarchy anymore.
The former actress has also decided to never return to the UK. Despite stepping down from his royal duties almost five years ago, Prince Harry‘s heart still lingers in the royal world.
The prince has regrets and misses his relatives, especially his father, King Charles III.
In a moment of reflection, Prince Harry has realized that some of his horrific revelations may have crossed a line. He now wishes he could take back some of those words, especially now that his father is facing serious health issues.
Prince Harry rushed to King Charles’s side earlier this year when he first announced his cancer diagnosis.
However, since then, King Charles has chosen to maintain a complete silence towards Prince Harry, a decision driven by two bombshell reasons.
Prince Harry’s team confirmed to PEOPLE Magazine that King Charles and Prince William have stopped answering his calls and text messages.
King Charles has turned down several of Prince Harry’s requests for a meeting during his trips to London.
It was believed that His Majesty was staying clear of his scandalous son because he wanted to protect his mental and physical health — that is partially the truth.
King Charles has chosen to maintain a self-imposed distance from Prince Harry, largely due to financial reasons. He is unwilling to financially support Prince Harry’s lifestyle or security needs, leading to a strained relationship.
Via Daily Mail, author and biographer Robert Hardman explained that Prince Harry’s plea for money is one reason he will not be allowed to talk to his father.
The expert wrote: “The first involves money. Prince Harry has made precise several times that his charge sheets against the monarchy include the lack of a financial settlement. I recognized the absurdity, a man in his mid-30s being cut off by my father,’ he wrote in his autobiography Spare. But Pa wasn’t merely my father. He was my boss, my banker, my comptroller, keeper of the purse strings throughout my adult life.”
The second reason Prince Harry’s calls and messages have gone unanswered is that King Charles refuses to tamper with his relationship with Prince William, the heir.
He revealed: “Second, if The King embarked on bilateral discussions with his younger son, he did not want to jeopardize his rapport with his elder son, who last spring had more immediate, pressing personal worries of his own following The Princess of Wales‘s cancer diagnosis. Any talks involving The King would need to include Prince William, and now was not the time.”
The Duke of Sussex finds himself in a difficult position.
