Meghan Markle and her husband have to pray a bit more for a divine intervention as Donald Trump prepares to take office.
Prince Harry is facing a potential legal issue now that the presidential election did not go as he and the Democrats hoped.
It is believed that Prince Harry lied about his drug usage on his visa and immigration applications.
President Joe Biden did his best to protect Prince Harry from lawsuits from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative Washington, D.C. think tank.
However, Donald Trump has promised to handle the matter once in the White House. Unfortunately, Prince Harry does not have to wait for Donald Trump’s swear-in before the drama starts.
The think tank is doing all the heavy lifting for Trump. After Judge Carl Nichols ruled that Prince Harry’s visa application should not be made public because “the public does not have a strong interest in disclosure of the duke’s immigration records,” some troubling leaks occurred.
According to Newsweek, while “most of his reasoning remained sealed,” the Heritage Foundation’s filing was leaked to a handful of reporters.
The Heritage Foundation is determined to prove that Prince Harry did not enter the country via a proper channel. Lawyers for Heritage wrote in a filing: “[Heritage] submitted there was no proper method by which the Duke of Sussex could have been admitted. Thus, [Heritage’s] point is that if [DHS] ‘paroled’ the Duke of Sussex into the country in the same manner as illegal aliens pouring over the Nation’s Southern Border, that would be so illogical and illegal that [Heritage] did not even think it in issue.”
The government filing, seen by Newsweek, read: “The evidence before the Court plainly sufficed to show that [Heritage’s] speculation of impropriety was unfounded. Heritage’s first argument is based on its contention that in March 2020, the Duke entered the United States either by disclosing his past drug use (and was admitted inappropriately) or failing to disclose his past drug use.”
Lawyer Neama Rahmani argues that Prince Harry “may be able to get a waiver by arguing his drug use is in remission. Someone is considered in remission after a year of sobriety. A waiver request requires a doctor to submit medical documentation.”
Another attorney revealed that Prince Harry might be on a diplomatic visa and did not need background checks, including his past drug usage.
According to the experts at Newsweek, however, Heritage might still be able to argue it was not “proper” for Prince Harry to be on a diplomatic visa.
