Meghan Markle has decided that 2025 will be a year of new beginnings while revisiting the past.
Prince Harry‘s wife believes combining the two is sometimes necessary to succeed in any endeavor.
The former actress will launch a new venture with her cooking show, which will debut on Netflix on January 15.
To better promote this new career, Markle has surprised many by reversing her promise to exclude all social media activities.
Meghan Markle has successfully launched an official Instagram account that has already amassed almost a million followers.
Markle has thus far posted two videos to give insights into her new project. Not long ago, Markle had some harsh thoughts on social media.
Prince Harry and Markle spoke of the fact that people on social media are called users, comparable to those who are addicted to destructive substances.
Markle also said that the toxic environment created by these users was detrimental to her mental health. She explained: “The bulk of the bullying and the abuse that I was experiencing in social media and online was when I was pregnant — with Archie and with Lilibet — and with a newborn with each of them.”
So, what pushed Meghan Markle to make this vast reversal? According to Page Six, the American Riviera Orchard founder believes that she must connect with her followers, viewers, and potential clients.
Meghan Markle received a significant promise from Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Platforms, Instagram’s parent company, and his team that her online experience would be safer and healthier this time around.
This promise is believed to have influenced her return to social media. A source shared: “Markle has engaged in constructive conversations with senior executives at Meta about creating safer and healthier online environments.”
The insider added: “While there is still work to be done, she feels confident that by returning to Instagram, she can amplify the progress made so far and lead by example in demonstrating the potential for social media to bring joy and positive connection.”
The source further explained that Markle is using her presence to make social media a better and more positive place. The source revealed: “By stepping back into this space, The Duchess hopes to authentically share moments of joy and inspiration from her life while continuing to advocate for safer, more positive online experiences—particularly for young people and families.”
Despite all the wonderful promises and desires by the heads of Instagram, Markle has closed the comments section to protect her mental health and avoid being cyberbullied and trolled.
