Meghan Markle‘s victory lap was abruptly interrupted. The former actress has been on cloud nine after the launch of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

Embracing the wave of success, the mother of two swiftly launched multiple successful business ventures, promising a bright future for her.

She also appeared in a short video with Gwyneth Paltrow to create buzz and end the rumors that they were competitors at war over scented candles and dog biscuits.

The former actress has been actively participating in multiple high-energy interviews, promoting her brand and garnering support from her fans.

However, Markle quickly fell from the high because of an unexpected scandal from Prince Harry‘s Sentebale charity.

After Prince Harry’s stunning resignation from Sentebale, the chairwoman, Dr. Sophie Chandauka, appeared in multiple interviews. She obliterated the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle as having a “toxic” brand and staining the organization.

In an explosive sit down with the Financial Times, Dr. Chandauka discussed tensions between Prince Harry and Markle during bizarre photos taken together after a polo match.

The woman at the center of the drama has also accused Prince Harry and, mainly, Markle of being bullies and creating a toxic work environment.

The Financial Times reported: “In her first interview since the dispute erupted, Chandauka defended her record as chair, insisted the organisation would “live on” and said Prince Harry’s “brand” had hindered the charity. “The number one risk for this organization was the toxicity of its lead patron’s brand,” Chandauka told the Financial Times.”

The publication went on to share: “Chandauka said she first felt tension between Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and herself in April 2024. Chandauka said she had refused what she described as a request by the royal’s team to defend his wife, Meghan, in the media after negative coverage of her. “I said no, we’re not setting a precedent by which we become an extension of the Sussex PR machine.”

It continued: “She argued that the volatile public sentiment around Prince Harry since his move to the US and media fallout after the release of a Netflix documentary in 2022 and his book in 2023 had an impact on the charity’s ability to diversify its donor pool and make senior hires. “When you start to interview people, they’re asking questions about, well, these mixed messages around the patron.”

Aware that the scandal was causing serious damage, Prince Harry rushed to PEOPLE Magazine for an interview, during which he attempted to spotlight Markle’s businesses and accomplishments.

The former soldier standing firm behind his wife explained that he is very proud of his wife and that she has all the ingredients for success.

He told the media outlet: “I am so happy for my wife and fully support absolutely everything she’s done and continues to do. I’m incredibly proud.”

Prince Harry’s statement surprised some because of the current context.
