Prince William is setting up the stage for the showdown of the century. The Prince of Wales, the heir to the throne, has already established himself as a firm and uncompromising leader.
The Prince of Wales plans to take that tough attitude even further when he becomes King of England.
Prince William has meticulously planned his future reign, which, according to reliable royal insiders, will involve consequences for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A friend of Prince William explained to the Daily Beast that when he sits on the throne, Prince William will implement many of the sanctions that King Charles III failed to enact against his son and daughter-in-law.
The potential official and permanent removal of their HRH title — which stands for Their Royal Highnesses-looms large.
The source told the Daily Beast: “Charles might be happy to put up with this, but William won’t. He loathes and despises Harry and Meghan with every bone in his body, he believes they have betrayed everything the family stands for and the idea that they are using their royal status as a calling card will enrage him.”
The close pal insisted that Meghan Markle’s continued use of her HRH title implies that she is exploiting King Charles’s weakness.
The royal source stated: “Charles has completely lost control; it’s apparent that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have every intention of making his final years a misery. Meghan, using her HRH, exposes how weak and enfeebled he is.She knows he won’t do anything. There is no way King William will stand for this. The titles will be removed when he is king. A way will be found.”
Prince William deems it a necessary evil because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no scruples about using the monarchy for financial gains.
Case in point: Meghan Markle is more or less advertising her jam with her HRH title alongside her lifestyle products, including a pricey jam.
This month, the Netflix star sent Jamie Kern Lima a gift basket containing homemade strawberry sauce. The gift was accompanied by a note that Meghan Markle signed with the HRH title.
The message that irked Prince William read: “With the Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”
Meghan Markle found herself in a tense situation, leading her to issue a statement after her actions sparked anger in Prince William over the use of royal titles.
A source for Markle denied that Markle violated the agreement as the basket was a “personal gift.”
The Markle insider told the Daily Beast: “Harry and Meghan retain their HRH titles; however, by agreement, they do not use them for commercial purposes. While they do not publicly use ‘HRH,’ this was a personal gift, and their titles remain.”
However, Prince William’s staff members quickly called bull on her excuse.
A former courtier told the Daily Beast that Markle’s “defense was rubbish and that the terms of their exit from royal duties made it clear they had agreed not to use the HRH titles at all, ever, in any capacity.”
After Prince Harry and Markle decided to step down from their royal duties, they signed an agreement with the monarchy that clearly states: “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”
Prince William plans to be a real enforcer.
