Meghan Markle and her husband seem to be restless when it comes to ruffling royal feathers.
In recent months, the ongoing saga between the Hollywood royals and the British monarchy has unfolded, shrouded in secrecy and tension.
However, lo and behold, Prince Harry has decided to leak all the juicy and bitter details about what happened behind the scenes to PEOPLE magazine and the Guardian.
Speaking to PEOPLE and the Guardian, a close friend described the emotional turmoil he believed the Duke of Sussex and Markle endured during their five-month battle with British officials over the updated titles for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The furious pair blamed King Charles for the extensive and expensive delay in getting the documents.
Buckingham Palace brutally refuted the accusation and explained that King Charles, battling cancer and governing an entire monarchy, has better and more important matters to handle than meddling in passport applications.
The friend, who spoke to the Guardian, also gave the stunning and delusional reason why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fought so hard to obtain new passports for their children.
The source said this was: “so that when they grow older, they can decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals or stay out of public life’.”
A source via the Daily Mail explained King Charles had the most epic reaction to the news. He found it incredulous and bemusing, to say the least, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believed their children could ever become anything more than Hollywood celebrities whose famous and rogue parents fled themnarchy and later took on active roles as whistleblowers against their family for big checks.
Responding to the wild claims that his nephew and niece will be working members of his monarchy, Prince William held nothing back. A close friend told well-connected journalist Tom Sykes from the Daily Beast: “William obviously isn’t going to hire Archie and Lilibet. This is just trolling on the part of Harry and Meghan.”
The Daily Mail‘s Richard Eden confirmed that as monarch, Prince William would strip the children of their titles when he becomes King William.
He explained: “From what I am told, the removal of Archie and Lilibet’s HRHs could be part of a wider ‘slimming down’ of the Monarchy when William becomes King.”
