Meghan Markle and her spouse, Prince Harry, are confused by some of the headlines they have been reading lately.
The power couple has spent several years criticizing their royal relatives in interviews, a book, and a Netflix series.
Now that they have stopped mentioning names such as King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton; Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expected the Royal Family to do the same—stop talking and ridiculing them.
But that is not the case. While the royal clan is happy that Markle and her husband no longer criticize them, that does not mean they will stop ridiculing them for their past actions and words.
Prince Harry and Markle have provided the royals with considerable ammunition over the years through their numerous controversies and dramas.
It has been revealed via credible sources who spoke to the Daily Mail that there is a lot of back and forth going on in Kate Middleton and Prince William’s WhatsApp group about the ridiculous name that Markle selected for her lifestyle brand.
The company was previously known as American Riviera Orchard, but it has since been rebranded as As Ever.
Friends of Princess Kate and the heir have mocked the company’s name, saying she should come up with something better.
The Daily Mail revealed: “According to a royal source, friends of Prince William and Kate Middleton allegedly ridiculed Meghan after the announcement of her lifestyle company being rebranded to As Ever in February. The friends reportedly referred to the Duchess of Sussex’s latest business venture as ‘As If’, meaning ‘as if it will take off’, according to Bella Magazine.”
Meghan Markle is also criticized for mishandling some of her product launches. One royal friend said the following about Markle’s business venture: “It’s caused quite a bit of laughter within the group. WhatsApp messages have been going back and forth. It’s all very budget and rushed. Embarrassing, really.”
While friends of Princess Kate and Prince William are dragging Meghan Markle’s decision to be a businesswoman, the former actress is laughing straight to the bank.
This week, Markle shut down rumors that her Netflix contract was being terminated due to poor ratings by announcing that it had been renewed.
In a statement, Markle and Prince Harry confirmed that a multi-year deal had been signed and announced multiple new projects.
Markle stated: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand. My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, said: “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”
Markle also revealed that the second season of her show will air later this month, and a holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, is set to premiere in December.
The statement read: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
Another project in the works is Masaka Kids,A Rhythm Within, and the movie adaptation of the bestselling novel, Meet Me at the Lake.
Critics and backers seem to have come to terms that Markle is on par to build a billion-dollar company.
