King Charles III has two major upcoming meetings in the next few weeks, and it appears he is dreading both.

It is clear that His Majesty has strong thoughts and feelings about meeting President Donald Trump in the fall, as the politician continues to stir controversy wherever he goes.

However, His Majesty is also gearing up for an almost equally challenging reunion with his youngest son, Prince Harry.

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry, without Meghan Markle, will be reunited with his father after almost two years apart.

The King and his son are expected to meet in London on September 8th. This is the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II‘s passing.

This will be the first time they have seen each other since His Majesty’s cancer diagnosis was announced.

The Duke of Sussex will travel to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards, a charity that is dear to his heart.

Prince Harry made substantial efforts to arrange the meeting. He shared his schedule with his father and brother, Prince William. He hoped they would make time for a face-to-face meeting.

Prince Harry’s and King Charles’s staff met during the summer. They started mapping out the reunion.

A U.S. source revealed to the Mirror: “It’s clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen. Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry.”

The source added that for the first time in a long time, “reconciliation is within reach.”

However, the main conflict at this meeting is the tension created by unresolved accusations and lasting hurt, particularly from Queen Camilla and Prince William, which complicates the situation for both the King and his son.

King Charles’s current predicament is not primarily due to Prince Harry’s past incendiary behavior, brutal confessions, and accusations.

The truth is that at the age of 76 and battling cancer, he has decided to “let bygones be bygones.”

He has cautiously moved beyond his son’s contentious actions. Now, the challenging situation centers on his wife, Queen Camilla, and Prince William, who remain deeply affected by Prince Harry’s past actions and statements.

His Majesty believes that his two children can figure out this matter on their own terms.

However, he loves his wife, and it pains him that Queen Camilla must endure the turmoil Prince Harry brought upon her.

Sources claim that Queen Camilla will never fully recover from the accusations made by her stepson.

Royal journalist and veteran author Robert Jobson spoke to the Mirror, saying that Prince William and Queen Camilla cannot forgive or ever forget the nasty revelations made in Prince Harry’s historically best-selling 2023 memoir, Spare.

Jobson stated, “He’s asking for forgiveness. Well, you know, I think that his father probably will in the long term. I think he probably will. I just don’t see William and Camilla doing it.”

It has been confirmed that in Spare, Prince Harry mentioned Queen Camilla more than 60 times, often branding her as “the Other Woman.”

He also accused the Queen of being “dangerous” and leaking damaging stories to the press, allegedly “sacrificing him on her personal PR altar” and labeling her a “wicked stepmother.”

Queen Camilla will certainly not attend the meeting, but she can still have an influence on it.

She is expected to remind her husband to keep the tête-à-tête short and advised King Charles to “slow down” and avoid “unnecessary stress” from meetings, according to the Daily Beast.

She will remind King Charles not to divulge any private or sensitive matters to his son. As she did the last time Prince Harry and King Charles met, she is capable of shortening the meeting by reminding the King that he has a scheduled engagement to attend.

In summary, Queen Camilla’s influence may limit Prince Harry’s ability to have a meaningful or extended meeting with his father, underlining the unresolved tensions at the heart of their family conflict.
