In recent weeks, Meghan Markle has been in the spotlight for her professional achievements.

She celebrated a victory over critics who claimed her and Prince Harry’s contract with Netflix had been canceled; however, sources report that the contract was, in fact, renewed.

In addition to the renewed deal, Markle launched the second season of her cookery and lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan.

While viewership numbers are reportedly not high, the show is generating enough publicity for Netflix that a third season might be possible.

Furthermore, Markle’s wine sales are apparently soaring, which is yet another reason for Netflix to continue its partnership.

Meanwhile, back in London, Prince William has a full plate of his own. He and Kate Middleton faced a summer plagued by scandal, including criticism for using a billionaire’s yacht in Greece.

They were also attacked for moving to another home and evicting multiple families in the process, a move they reportedly made to secure the privacy they desperately need. The royal couple has also been accused of being work-shy.

Despite his busy schedule, Prince William always seems to have time and energy for one major priority: challenging Meghan Markle’s public image and role regarding her reconciliation with the Royal Family.

Royal reporter and writer Richard Fitzwilliams recently revealed that Prince William’s well-documented “mistrust of Meghan” is a “major reason” the heir has been hesitant to engage with his brother, Prince Harry.

Speaking to Fox News, Fitzwilliams enumerated the many ways Prince Harry has betrayed his brother, saying, “Given… the personal attacks on him in the memoir Spare, reconciliation is likely to be a tough call with the [Prince of Wales.] There are some things which are not forgotten.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took part in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in which they shared several criticisms of the monarchy and their family.

The couple followed up with their Netflix docuseries, which discussed issues including slavery and described what they perceived as Kate Middleton’s coldness. Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, further described allegations such as racism, assault, abuse, and abandonment.

Mr. Fitzwilliams added: “Of course, reconciliation is desirable and being in exile, which Harry is, is often very sad… The last time the brothers were together, at the memorial service for Lord Fellowes last August, they reportedly didn’t speak. I doubt much has changed.”

Although it may require a significant amount of time for a form of understanding to be reached, Prince William appears unlikely to accept Meghan at this time.
