A Father’s Brief Meeting Ignites A Conflict
King Charles III may not realize it, but his brief meeting with Prince Harry has caused tension with Prince William, the heir to the throne.
Last week, His Majesty, out of the goodness of his heart, decided to set aside the pettiness, drama, and brutality of the past five years and took a brief meeting with his youngest son, Prince Harry.
Prince Harry arrived at Clarence House with a huge smile on his face to finally see his dear Papa, as he calls him. The two men had tea, and the short meeting lasted less than 55 minutes. It is unknown what the two men discussed.
However, right after the conversation, King Charles seemed as serious as always as he went on with his royal duties.
Prince Harry appeared cheerful and hopeful after meeting King Charles as he arrived at a reception for an event linked to the Invictus Games. When some attendees asked him about his father, Prince Harry beamed with joy and said, “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”
Prince William’s Fury Over His Father’s Decision
Prince William strongly disapproved of the meeting, according to sources via The Daily Beast, believing his father was being manipulated by Prince Harry again.
A close friend of Prince William told The Daily Beast that King Charles’s decision to meet Prince Harry makes him appear weak, likening it to Prince Andrew‘s involvement in family matters.
Prince William’s friend insisted that King Charles should have only accepted the meeting on one condition: that Prince Harry had to make a formal apology beforehand.
Prince William believes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gone too far in their revelations and accusations to ever be forgiven without a public penance for their sins.
Prince William Voices His Objection to King Charles’s Meeting With Prince Harry
The pal said: “William always said, just cut Andrew off completely. It’s not appropriate to have an alleged sex offender breaking bread with the Royal Family. Charles was so desperate to be seen as embodying the spirit of Christian forgiveness that he let Andrew back in. Then the Lownie book happened. Now, is history going to repeat itself with a photo of Harry and the King having tea? It’s absurd to even imagine that after what Harry said, unless there is some form of direct apology from Harry. William was right about Andrew, and he is right about Harry. Charles is weak. William is anything but weak.”
A Future King’s Wrath Is Coming
Despite his strong feelings, Prince William has no intention of confronting his father directly about the meeting. He remains upset and confused by King Charles’s choice.
The friend added, “Ultimately, William is a loyal soldier. He respects his father’s rank, and he respects his father’s right to make his own decisions and he won’t make a fuss. But he thinks a Harry meeting is a terrible, terrible idea.”
The associate emphasized that he would not have met with Prince Harry and claimed that Prince William’s wrath will descend on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once Prince William becomes King.
