It has been reported that Queen Camilla had one key condition: she would not meet or speak with Prince Harry until he apologized for the things he wrote in his memoir, Spare. Prince Harry, however, has declined to apologize.

In his memoir and interviews, Prince Harry called Queen Camilla “the other woman,” blamed her for his parents’ marriage ending, and described her as “dangerous” and manipulative toward the media.
As a result, according to reports, Queen Camilla made it clear that she would not attend the meeting. Her influence was felt nonetheless, even if she was not in the room.
She reportedly played a role in ensuring that the meeting lasted only 53 minutes. The Times said the following about Queen Camilla’s stance: “Charles will have briefed the Queen on his meeting with Harry, who has described her as dangerous and a villain who left bodies in the street, in her quest to improve her public image. Camilla could be forgiven for not being jubilant about her husband’s reunion with Harry.”
A royal insider told The Times: “He has been extremely unkind to her in print and in word, and she doesn’t forgive easily.”
And a close friend of the King added, “The Royal Family makes elephants look like they have short memories. Some members of the family may, in time, forgive Harry for the damage and hurt they feel he has caused, but none of them will forget.”

Now that His Majesty has reportedly made a way for him to see his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to smooth over the situation with the Queen.
