Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, appear to have adopted a new approach to definitively sever their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Many wonder how many ways Princess Kate and Prince William have signaled to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that their relationship has changed.
They have stayed away, not responded to letters, emails, or text messages, and have limited or no direct interactions.
Whenever Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have expressed interest in reconciliation, these olive branches have not been reciprocated.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have at times gone to the extreme of traveling outside the UK when Prince Harry is visiting.
However, it seems that no matter how much they try, the message is not getting through.
A Hardline Decision
This is why it seems that the future King and Queen Consort of the UK may be taking additional steps to further clarify boundaries.
Sources close to Prince William and Kate Middleton have confirmed that earlier last month, when King Charles III sent his aides to meet with Prince Harry’s staff, Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to take a stand.
The royal couple has indicated that their team will not be meeting with Prince Harry’s team. There are no current plans for a reconciliation or meeting.
A royal source told Us Weekly: “There has also been no direct communication between aides, like there has been with Charles. William and Kate haven’t initiated or responded to outreach from Harry at all. They do need more time.”
The person with knowledge of the situation added: “There’s emotional distance between the three of them. There are lingering resentments of past conflicts, including Harry’s comments about Kate in his book. It left William guarded and needing more time to process before a face-to-face with Harry.”
The source continued: “There is still ongoing tension with William and Kate. They are deeply hurt by the public disclosures, memoir revelations, and interviews, and criticisms of their roles, which they perceive as breaches of trust that require significant time to heal from, which is why they aren’t there yet.”
According to the report, the Duke of Sussex could not connect with his brother and sister-in-law during his recent trip across the pond, a source said, because their schedules were intentionally “not aligned while Harry was in London,” and it was their way of setting new and harsher boundaries to keep Prince Harry out for good.
They want Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to understand that they have moved on from this complex situation. Too many things have been said, too much pain has been caused, too many reputations have been damaged, and they know for a fact that Prince Harry will never apologize.
Meghan Markle has not issued any recent public statements, so an apology does not appear imminent.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken notice of these developments, and there are currently no plans to attempt a reconciliation between the UK and California-based family members.
