Meghan Markle’s Attempt At Self-Correction
Meghan Markle may make great efforts, but there are some people who may never fully support her again.
Since stepping down from her royal duties in 2020 and sharing significant revelations and accusations, she and her husband, Prince Harry, seem to have shifted their approach.
After the public reaction and effects of the best-selling memoir Spare, the couple now appears to have adopted a more reserved stance, with no further comments about King Charles III, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Queen Camilla, the monarchy, or the UK. The main point is that despite their change in strategy, support for Meghan remains nonexistent among some people.

Meghan Markle has opened a new chapter in her life, becoming a respected businesswoman with her lifestyle brand, As Ever, as well as a range of projects on Netflix and through podcasts.
Although these new ventures are successful enough that Meghan Markle may not need to address the Royal Family again, her change in focus may not have shifted public perception, particularly in the UK.
Royal reporter and author Robert Jobson points out the key difference as being the path of public restraint and loyalty followed by Queen Camilla, which he believes Meghan Markle did not choose.
Meghan Markle’s Harsh Reality Is Exposed
Jobson explained that while Queen Camilla faced public criticism in the past for her scandalous actions with then-Prince Charles, who was also married at the time — it is impossible to forget the “Tampongate” scandal — she has worked to repair her image through patience and restraint.
Representing the monarchy with grace and passion for over two decades, she has consistently shown loyalty to the institution and has never publicly criticized the Royal Family. Jobson suggests that this consistency and discretion have greatly contributed to her growing popularity, in contrast to Meghan Markle’s declining support.
Jobson said: “Through all of the bad times she had, [Camilla] never said a word. She never spoke publicly about anything. That’s what’s likable about her. She’s a very likable person. She’s got a great character and she’s not looking for anybody to like her…”
He continued: “If Meghan spends her life worrying about whether she’s liked or not, invariably [she’ll] end up disappointed because some people like you and some people don’t, that’s just the way it is. So can she turn herself around, Meghan, in the UK? I doubt it, I doubt it.”
It does not appear that Meghan is working hard to change the perception of her critics.
