Meghan Markle Turns The Camera On The Next Generation Of Royals

Meghan Markle has decided to turn the camera lenses away from her and put the focus on a mini rising star in the Royal Family on her popular Instagram page.

Meghan Markle has chosen to highlight Princess Lilibet, emphasizing the next generation and the importance of empowering young girls within the Royal Family.

On Saturday, October 11, the Duchess of Sussex took to her official Instagram page, where she shared a very personal look at her only daughter, Princess Lilibet.

The photo and video were shared to mark International Day of the Girl, which was established by the United Nations in 2011 to celebrate women around the world.

Given that Meghan has worked with the United Nations in the past and is a staunch feminist, no one was surprised that she decided to mark the holiday by sharing a moment with the most precious woman—the girl—in her life: her four-year-old daughter, Lilibet.

Duchess Marks International Day Of The Girl With Daughter

She shared a photo and video with the following caption: “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ’em girl! 🏃‍♀️ Happy International Day of the Girl”

In the photo, the mother-daughter duo is seen holding hands as they stand near a lush garden. The pair were dressed casually, with Lilibet wearing a simple little pink shirt and matching tights, and Meghan wearing an elegant dress shirt and simple bluish pants. The post also included a video where Lilibet could be seen running around and having fun under the California sun.

A Different Approach To The Annual Celebration

This is not the first time Meghan has marked International Day of the Girl. Last year, she marked it in a unique way by speaking about how she was one of the most bullied people in the world while attending an event for the day. This year, it was a different story, and Meghan Markle decided to put the spotlight squarely on Lilibet.

Focus On Future: Humanitarian Award Acceptance Speech

Meghan shared the post over the weekend, shortly after accepting the Humanitarians of the Year award at the Project Healthy Mind gala.

The organization held the event in New York, where Meghan was recognized for her great achievement.

She used her acceptance speech to reflect on her children and broaden the conversation on how to improve their future.

The former actress said: “Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old… Luckily, still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers.”

She went on to say: “No matter how polarized the world is, or what people may or may not agree on, one thing that we can all agree on is that our children should be safe.”

Markle often knows how to hit the right note on these occasions.
