Royal watchers say Meghan Markle’s timing couldn’t have been more perfect for King Charles and Prince William.
Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have decided that it is time for a palate cleanser from the torrid week the Royal Family has been having.
Meanwhile, the spotlight on the Royal Family has remained intense. These days, Prince Andrew’s head-turning behavior has been dominating the media. With the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous biography, Prince Andrew’s past finally caught up to him.
King Charles III and Prince William have been involved in a tug-of-war with the “creepy uncle” who is set to be exiled. Andrew’s debacle has provided one odd or disturbing story after another about the royals.
Prince Archie And Princess Lilibet Go Wild
Now, Meghan Markle has decided to rescue the royals from the madness for a brief period of time by sharing a few adorable photos of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, doing the most wholesome things — being kids: running, playing, and carving pumpkins.
In the video uploaded to Markle’s official Instagram account, the children can be seen being free and wild as they run through the pumpkin patch, examining different types of pumpkins and squashes. They also stumble on a silly scarecrow and zigzag through what appears to be a corn maze.
Meghan Markle makes a brief appearance, seen pulling a wagon of pumpkins with Lilibet sitting inside, alongside Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex is also featured in the montage, getting crafty and carving some pumpkins. Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, also appeared to get in on the carving action.
The Quest For Work-Life Balance
In a recent interview, Markle emphasized the importance of making time to spend with her children, despite having a very busy and sometimes complicated schedule.
While appearing at Fortune‘s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C., Markle was asked by Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Fortune: “How do you decide what you lean into, as a CEO? It’s a small team, consisting of around 10 people. How do you decide where you’re going to show up in those moments, cause I know you love detail. You want to be in charge of a lot, so how do you do that?”
The former actress added: “I think you have to work as a team. You’re only as solid as the rest of the people around you. And also, I want the life-work balance, if such a thing exists. I’m still going to go chaperone the first-grade field trip and then try to finish the meetings. I love the creative part, which I think I’ve touched on quite a bit, and the brand is an extension of my aesthetic, but it’s more than that. The operational side is so key.”
Back To California For My Babies
While attending the Most Powerful Women Summit, Markle was asked about her hectic travel schedule that month and how she managed to carve out precious moments for her two young children.
Talking about the trips to Paris, New York City, California, and Washington D.C., Shontell asked Markle to share her insight: “You’ve been all over the place, and we were talking backstage about how yes, you’ve been to Europe, you were just in New York… and you made it home for one day to see your kids?”
Meghan Markle explained: “Yes, I had to! We were talking about that because everyone said, ‘Oh, you must have gone from Paris straight to New York,’ and I said, ‘No, I need to see my babies.’ So [I] went back to California for a day and then continued on.”
Markle is ramping up appearances.
