Realistically, he knows it is impossible to make up for his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein or the pain he caused the late Virginia Giuffre, but there will be no future slips or errors — well, not publicly at least.
The King’s “Stay Low” Order
The “stay out of trouble” rules were established after Andrew was forced to relinquish his titles and was evicted from the Royal Lodge alongside his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Just weeks after King Charles and Prince William forbade Andrew from “rocking the boat” and seeking the limelight, the former Duke of York was caught directly defying the King’s order to stay low and remain away from the public eye.

Prince Andrew appeared to defy His Majesty and the heir by parading around Windsor property and enjoying a horse ride with a female companion. Both seemed delighted to be riding expensive, pedigreed horses.
The pictures went viral, confirming two embarrassing facts that have infuriated the King.
Defiance: The photos showed Andrew openly enjoying privileges he is not supposed to have access to.
Royal Lodge Eviction Failure: The pictures confirmed the embarrassing fact that Andrew was still living at the Royal Lodge — a multi-million dollar mansion he was scheduled to vacate weeks ago.
King Charles and Prince William’s Fury
Sources told The Daily Mail that King Charles is livid because the viral photos are “not a good look” for the Royal Family, especially since riding on Windsor’s grounds is funded by taxpayers.
An insider added that Prince William and Catherine will also be annoyed, as they do not want him as a “near-neighbor,” hoping his move to Sandringham “can’t come soon enough to get him away from Windsor.”
Andrew’s “Smuggled” Horse Ride
Prince Andrew was quick to assert that he was not breaking any rules and had no intention of angering King Charles, revealing that he had taken measures to avoid being seen.
The Daily Mail‘s royal editor, Rebecca English, detailed his secrecy: “Andrew was smuggled out of Royal Lodge, apparently ducking out of sight in the back seat of a car, and driven straight to Windsor Castle to take out a horse from the Royal Mews.”
This elaborate evasion or laughable ruse was necessary because King Charles had previously instructed staff not to bring the horses to Andrew.
Andrew seems to be almost blaming His Majesty for his silly hide-and-seek moment with the paparazzi. The reporter revealed: “Andrew used to ride three or four times a week, but the King forbade staff from driving the animals to the Royal Lodge in the royal horsebox to make it harder for him to avoid detection. Andrew, therefore, had to be driven to the Royal Mews to access the animals.”
