Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani might leave The Voice because of the arrival of Miley Cyrus, according to one source.
Another insider shared that Shelton and Stefani might be exiting the reality show for another reason – they plan to focus on having a baby together.
According to Radar, Hollywood’s new It couple – Stefani and Shelton – who met on The Voice, are not thrilled by the much-talked-about return of the former wild child to the show for the 13th season.
According to the celebrity news website, the pop singer has decided to leave because she is not interested in working with Miss Cyrus.
It is being claimed that the country singer will also exit NBC’s reality television singing competition if his girlfriend skips next season.
The spy told the publication: “Since Miley is set on coming back to the show next season, Gwen definitely does not want to be on the panel alongside her. And, of course, since Gwen does not want to return, now Blake is considering throwing in the towel as well!”
This is where the story gets even crazier, if Shelton and Stefani bid adieu, expect Adam Levine to stop being a coach on the show.
The source said: “If Shelton goes, then friend Levine will want out, too. Producers feel like it might be a domino effect.”
Another publication shared that the duo is working on a baby which is the main reason why they are taking some time off later this year.
A person close to Shelton and Stefani had the following to say to popular celebrity website The Hollywood Gossip: “They’re trying to have a baby first. That’s their main focus right now. [Gwen’s] determined to have another baby and carry it herself, even though Blake has said it doesn’t matter if they adopt or get a surrogate.”
It will be weird not to see the pair on the show.
