Dedrick D. Williams has been arrested and charged in the murder case of XXXTentacion.
Williams, a well-known criminal by Florida police, is believed to be one of the shooters who attacked XXXTentacion whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy on Monday morning.
The Broward County Sheriff has released Dedrick Williams’ mugshot and an official statement confirming the arrest.
Williams, who called himself Demon and Chucky Williams, was apparently one of the two men wearing masks who shot the rapper multiple times in the neck in an attempt to steal a large Gucci bag he had in his luxury car.
By the looks of things, authorities did not have a difficult time finding XXXTentacion’s alleged killer because he had been bragging on Instagram and Facebook about his criminal activities.
He shared a photo on social media where he is flashing thousands of dollars and wrote the following messages: “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next ????”
The murder suspect added: “I just b ZOOLIN but I’ll lock and get a grip and shake a n*gga til he stiff ??? #LASTNIGHT.”
He concluded by: “26.13.6 Ima Demon??”
XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, could be seen on video attending a vigil for her son and receiving the emotional text message from the authorities learning that Williams was arrested for killing her son.
The Broward County Sheriff issued an official statement that read: “In just more than 48 hours, #BSO homicide detectives arrested Dedrick Devonshay Williams for the murder of Jahseh Onfroy, also known as XXXTentacion. Williams (dob 3/23/96) was taken into custody shortly before 7 p.m. in Pompano. More details will be released later today.”

However, Williams’s brother has come forward to defend him and to say he is innocent.
Via Facebook, he wrote: “?️ON MY #Z ?❗️ YALL WONT FRAME MY Z.O.M.B.I.E ON ?I Won’t These Crackers Trick My Brother 26 ZHOT??? Chucky Williams Ain’t Kill No One ?????❗️ #1k????????❗️.”
Court records show that Williams has been accused of felony grand theft auto and domestic violence.
Police have plans to arrest at least two more people who are suspects in the deadly shooting that rocked the music world and ended the life of a rising hip-hop star.
