Azealia Banks was not happy with Lana Del Rey‘s decision to go after Kanye West over his support for President Donald Trump, so she called her out.

This might have been a mistake because Lana hit back in a compelling way and the new feud has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.

The “National Anthem” singer’s fiery response has gone viral. It even included a tweet where she offered to get physical with the talented and controversial rapper.

It all started last week when Azealia tweeted: “Wow okay Lana, this would be cute if you were consistent with your outrage and refused to collab with ASAP rocky who has physically assaulted women too. To me this just looks like the typical White woman taking using a weakened target to “pretend” to be an ally.”

This was a direct response to what Lana wrote about Kanye. The pop singer’s note read: “Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture. I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level. Delusions of Grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism—none of which would be a talking point if we weren’t speaking about the man leading our country.”

It is not clear why Lana took a week to answer her new nemesis, but some of her fans say better late than never.

Interestingly, the Lana-Azealia feud gained more steam after reports surfaced claiming that Kanye will be at the White House this week to meet with the president and members of his team including First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner.

Politics have changed what used to be a beautiful friendship between Azealia and Lana who supported each other’s music since they reached stardom in 2011.

The “Summertime Sadness” diva once said the following about the “212” femcee: “I f*** with Azealia Banks because I have the same artistic inclinations as her and the same taste in men.”

It seems that the 2016 election drew them apart.
