A Florida woman, Jennifer St. Claire, 33, has died during a motorcycle ride with a mysterious date.
According to the family of the victim, on Friday, she left her home to go on a first date with an unnamed man she had met online along with two other couples.
During the trip, Jennifer fell off the motorcycle, and the date sped off leaving her on Interstate 95 exit in Pompano Beach in West Palm Beach. The woman died on the road after being hit by several cars.
Speaking to local media, Amy Gamber, the victim’s aunt had the following to say: “We don’t know how anybody could have done something like that. It’s the hardest part.”
She went on to explain: “We’re still trying to process this. We are trying to get closure. She was a very sweet girl who would do anything for anybody.”
The relatives have little information about the date. They believe he picked her up from her home around 10 p.m. Thursday, went to a restaurant in Delray Beach, and the deadly accident happened while they were going back home.
An attorney for the family spoke to the Miami Herald and shared: “That’s all the family knows for now, that she was on a date with a fellow. They believe they met online somehow. Two other couples, who were also on motorcycles, also went along with them.”
According to the Florida Highway Patrol officials, the death is being investigated as a traffic homicide.
The authorities confirmed that multiple vehicles accidentally ran over the woman as she laid on the road.
Witnesses told law enforcers that they saw a man on a motorcycle standing near the victim’s body after the accident.
The man did not help the Jennifer. Instead, he took off.
Jennifer worked as a server in restaurants and lived in Fort Lauderdale with her parents.
