Recent reports indicate that rapper Hella Sketchy, whose real name is Jacob Tyler Thureson, has passed away at the young age of 18, from an apparent drug overdose.
Many have expressed their condolences to the rapper’s family and friends, including many of his fans who have stepped forward to discuss the incident online.
Many details of the rapper’s death remain unclear and are the subject of much speculation, with some people believing that there might be more to the incident than what supporters hear right now.
The tragic nature of his untimely death has been specifically pointed out by many, with some comments noting that it is sad to see a child passing before his parents.
The rapper’s father has made several posts on social media reminiscing on the times he has had with his son and pointing out that he was a good boy and did not deserve what happened to him.
The man was reportedly found about two weeks ago but was successfully brought back to life and brought to the emergency room.
However, shortly afterward, he fell into a coma from which he did not recover for the next two weeks. At the end of the coma, he passed away.
Much attention has now been focused on the opioid crisis sweeping across the country.

The rapper’s father, Erik Thureson, along with many others, has taken the opportunity to warn people of the dangers that lie in opioids and have expressed their disappointment and concern at the fact that drugs like these are still readily available thanks to relatively relaxed rules.
The grieving dad wrote: “You are not supposed to go before your father or grandfather. That’s not how this works. We have no words. We are so sad to share that Jacob Tyler Thureson passed away on June 27,2019 at 5:11 am.”
He continued with: “Jacob was found unresponsive on June 13th from an apparent drug overdose. He was revived and brought to the ER where he’s been in a coma for 14 days.”
APG / Atlantic Records released the following statement: “The tragic passing of Hella Sketchy is a devastating loss. He was an enormously creative, sensitive soul with a brilliant sense of humor,” APG / Atlantic Records confirmed in a statement on Friday. “He was just beginning to show the world his talent and originality, and it’s heartbreaking that such a bright future has been cut short. The Soundcloud talent wrote a last post on Instagram that read: “I love you guys so much thank you for supporting me. I’m so grateful that I can help people with my music.”
One fan finds it is a pity that late rapper is not gaining in popularity.
The person wrote: “Sad everyone appreciates you now you’re gone. When you were first in the hospital, this pic had only 1200 comments. After you died, it has over 17,000. Sketchy, you were underappreciated until it was too late. Now everyone realizes your talent.”
An online fundraiser started by family and friends wants to raise $100,000 to help with expenses and bring awareness to the opioid crisis.
