Fans of Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson were treated to some candid pictures from their alleged wedding that turned out to be a friendship ceremony after they were brought together by an Elvis Presley impersonator in Las Vegas.
The ceremony was not a big one, with a small number of guests attending, including Charlize Theron, Sophie Turner, and the Jonas Brothers.
Both “friends” were dressed in black, and some have commented on the stylish nature of the wedding overall.
Many also chimed in on the fact that both “friends” showed a lot of devotion to each other and wore huge smiles on their faces through the whole ceremony.
They were also obviously very determined to go through with the whole thing but still managed to have a lot of fun with the ceremony.
After the event, the two went back to their hotel and enjoyed some private time together.
It has been known for a while that the two women were involved in a relationship, but the exact extent of things between them was not clear until now.
Previous reports indicated that they had worked together on Her Smell, and they have dated for a year. After that, observers did not hear much about the two until the announcement of their wedding.
Some pictures did suggest, though that things were moving in the right direction.
Even then, it looks like the two were trying to maintain a low profile and did not want to draw too much attention to themselves.
The friendship ceremony was conducted in a private, secluded manner, with selected guests and a special vibe.
It is clear at this point that Delevingne and Benson do not want to make things between themselves too public, at least for now.
One enthusiastic commenter stated: “Congratulations to you both. Such a beautiful couple may you have many happy years together.”
Although photos of Benson with a ring on her wedding finger have surfaced in the meantime; a second person doubts that the two actresses got married.
The fan stated: “I don’t think so, but I hope they will get married soon if they are not yet.”
A third person put the media on blast for calling their wedding ceremony, a friendship engagement. Is this a form of biphobia?
The supporter shared: “Certain that you could also save this biphobia. They have been together for years and live together, whether or not their official engagement was in the public domain, and you now talk about an alleged friendship ceremony? Congratulations.”
The Pretty Little Liars actress’ mother, Shannon Benson, wrote on Instagram: “How easy it is for so many of us today to be undoubtedly full of information yet fully deprived of accurate information.”
Friendship ceremony or marriage, the two ladies appear to be very close.
