Peter Cook has found himself surrounded by some unpleasant rumors lately after he was accused of misrepresenting the real age of his new fiancée, Alba Jancou, to the public.
Even though Cook was adamant that the psychology student is 21, recent reports indicate that this might not entirely be the case, as she is allegedly actually only 20.
And while the difference is pretty insignificant in general, it has painted Cook in a very negative light due to some of the implications attached to dating someone at that age.
That is not even counting Cook’s age; he is 60. Observers say someone like him should be looking elsewhere for this type of relationship.
This is not the first time the woman’s age has been brought under question, as it was previously reported that a social media post related to a school she was attending implied that she was indeed only 20.
Back then, Cook went as far as to claim that the post itself was made in error, and it was deleted at a later point.
Despite all that, it does not look like Cook has been showing any remorse for his current situation.
Entirely, on the contrary, he has been living it up and has been feeling fine alongside his new partner.
Cook certainly is not the type of person to get too affected by what the public has to say about him, so at least that not surprising.
It remains to be seen just how far this story will be pushed before the truth comes to light.
Cook and Jancou got engaged in October, and she will reportedly turn 21 in March.
Cook told Page Six this about the engagement: “We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss.”
Some fans are rooting for the couple. One commenter said: “My husband is 25 years older than me. We married when I was 18. Everyone said it would never last. Twenty-eight years later, we are still proving them wrong. Age is but a number. Congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together! ❤️????”
Another follower added: “It’s not like he’s bad looking…..I once dated a man who was in his 50s when I was in my 20s. Of course, he was Australian and the kind of amazing looks that don’t change with age so ??♀️.”
The formel model and architect was previously married to entrepreneur Christie Brinkley for 12 years from 1996 to 2008.
They have a child together, model Sailor Lee Brinkley-Cook, 21, who competed on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars earlier this year.
