It appears that despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis, Ashanti still found a way to honor her younger sister, Kenashia Douglas, (Shia), on Sibling Day this year, as the R&B star took to Instagram to share a stunning throwback photograph on April 10.
In the snap, which according to the title of the post, was taken on the singer’s birthday last year, Ashanti and Kenashia can be seen welcoming the sunset on the beach wearing sheer dresses that revealed their gorgeous bodies.
The two sisters celebrated the “Foolish” performer’s 39th birthday at Miami South Beach, and the photo of the event showed them having fun in the water.
In the picture, both Ashanti and her sister were dressed in sheer white dresses, which were already soaked by the water, and the two of them posed to the camera with their backs, while they are looking to the setting sun and saying a prayer.
She captioned the picture: “This was an amazing experience… I celebrated my birthday last year with friends and family, and on October 13 (My actual bday), about 15 of us went to Miami Beach in the middle of the night..we dressed in all white, sat in the ocean and prayed together under a full moon. “Hunters Full Moon” (Very deep meaning) The water was so warm we stayed for like 3 hours. It was both magical & spiritual. Some memories are priceless.”
The post was met with enthusiasm by the celebrity’s impressive fandom, and a lot of her supporters appeared to be touched by her love for her little sister.

Earlier this month, the R&B icon celebrated her sister’s 31st birthday, as she shared a picture of Kenashia with a lengthy message, in which the singer expressed how much she loved her sibling and thanked her for everything she has done.
